you won't find a better dinner house with the quality of food anywhere on the islands. Everything was 10 stars. A true taste sensation. Broke the lip. Nathan was an excellent waiter, patient and at your service.UMI UMI UMI. The owner and inspiration for the restaurant came and greeted each table like you were at his home. The Aloha Spirit is strong.

Loved the curry tasting menu. Unfortunately found a tiny hair in the curry but the staff was prompt to get the curry replaced.

This was a truly disappointing experience! This is a basic hotel restaurant. Unless you are staying in this hotel, there would be no reason to go here. The ambience was on par with a chain restaurant but the prices were gourmet. There were no real vegetarian options and a limited menu selection overall. My wife had the arugula salad which was good but uninspired. I had the lobster which was the size of maybe two jumbo shrimp. It was amazing but an appetizer sized dish priced as a large entree. We left with room in our bellies and a lot less in our wallet. Do not recommend for any occassion.

キャビア　アワビ　ステーキ美味しかったです。ちょっとお値段はかかりますが、ハレクラニとちょっと雰囲気が変わっていて和を感じるお食事でした。ちょっとキャビア&シャンパンで立ち寄るのみも良いかも。

日本のテレビ番組“ハワイに恋して"を見てとても食べたい料理でしたので予約させて頂きました。 Umi Tasting Meneを注文させて頂きました。サービスマンのきめ細やかな料理説明で更に美味しく頂くことができたしま。ホタテのカルパッチョフレッシュな帆立に出汁のきいたスープまで料理に対するこだわりが感じられました。鮑とマッシュルームのクラスト鮑も柔らかく食べやすく仕上げてあり日本にはない最高のハワイ料理でした。ロブスターの魚介ビスク見た目も独創的でロブスターを引き立てる魚介ビスクが最高でした。プライムリブアイステーキコース全体的なバランスとしてステーキの量はちょうど良く、ミディアムレアで醤油ペッパーがステーキの旨みを引き出しでいました。ステーキに付いてきました高菜のごはんはコシヒカリ？を使っているのかコースの締めとしてはとても良いかったです。 Umiデザート抹茶のスポンジに黒胡麻の小石に見立てた盛り付けはハワイの海を感じさせる料理でコースの最後の締めくくりの役割りを果たしていました。最後にオーナーシェフのヴィクラム•ガークさんと一緒に写真を撮りとても良い記念になりました。また、ハワイに行くことになりましたらお伺いさせて頂きます。

An exceptional restaurant . While it doesn’t have an ocean view, the food is the main attraction. I tried the Hawaiian tasting menu and did the New Zealand salmon which was excellent . The popcorn soup was foamy and wonderful. The panacotta desert was amazing . Highly recommend this place along with my waiter Nate who was totally knowledgeable on all aspects of the menu and food prep. Learned he was a chef himself in the past

Superb. Fantastic. The best. Every dish was beautiful. A highlight was the beetroot risotto. The scallops were the best I’ve ever had. No gimmicks here. It’s all about great ingredients put together by a genius chef.

This restaurant is exceptional. The cuisine was truly creative. Every dish was a new experience for us. Our waiter was attentive and helpful in choosing the dishes we selected. We come to Waikiki twice a year and will make this a definite stop each time

We got the tasting menu as a celebration for my birthday. The food came out pretty quickly- everything was quite delicious! My favorite was the abalone course and the steak course. The desserts were huge portions!! I had a lot of fun & it was a beautiful and tasty evening!

Aloha and cheers to Umi as this is an incredible, front page worthy venue with it all. The restaurant layout is fun plus welcoming, amidst a comfortable ambiance and decor. Stellar array of food, wines, top notch spirit and truly something for everyone. It’s an overall pro staff with pleasant service and liveliness. Our server was Nate and he was fantastic… Mahalo. The menu has all the comforts you’d want and more, the owner Chef Vikram drives the culinary experience at an elevated level. My wife and I enjoyed the 6 course pairing and it was delicious. Please come support this one of a kind spot!

This was our first time dining here & we really enjoyed breakfast. The hostess was so kind & explained so much about the restaurant including the artwork & the QR code to add Instagram filters. Most of us had the 2 course breakfast prix fixe & enjoyed what we ordered. We look forward to returning to try the dinner menu.

Very nice date restaurant. Service was great food was lovely. We decided to treat ourselves to a night out. A late birthday dinner for my husband. We ordered and food was served in a beautiful presentation. The only thing was the Imperial caviar was 200 an ounce and was served with a different kind of style it was served with a burdock foam and suvee egg. I think I prefer the traditional way with billini and eggs and onion. Just our opinion . My husband and I enjoyed and would recommend. Service-was wonderful

My husband and I finally had a date night and seeing this restaurant on TV so we wanted to give it a try and so happy we did. This restaurant is outstanding food is amazing. Service is great and highly recommend will definitely be coming here again and again :-)

The BEST dinner we've ever had in Hawai'i. We had tuna crudo, popcorn soup, monchong, tenderloin, and pavlova lilikoi plus birthday treat. Each dish was absolutely delicious and surprised us with refined flavors. And, the desserts were simply out of this world. Our taste-buds were full-bloomed when we finished our dinner. We are already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you so much

The experience began with a warm welcome from at the front of this stunning restaurant. The interior design is sleek and modern with a touch of Japanese influence. But the food is the star of the evening. Umi branded Imperial Osetra caviar served with a rich burdock root dip that paired perfectly with the caviar. Each of the dishes in the Umi Tasting menu was not only beautiful but very tasty and the wine paring was also very good. The scallop namasu was served in a delicious dashi broth and the Abalone was tender and loaded with Umami flavor. The butter poached lobster and generous portion of ribeye steak were also excellent. The famous Umi dessert was like a work of art and the Mango popsicle was delicious and definitely my favorite. This place is definitely one of the finest restaurants in Hawaii and should not be missed.

今回何度か人数変更したにも関わらず迅速にメッセージで対応完了の連絡が来たりして、お席もゆったりとした場所が用意されていた。コースをオーダーして、最初の２品が調理方法の違うホタテ、その後ロブスター、アワビ、ステーキと続き美味しかった。ワインを継ぎ足してもらう度にサーバーを探さないといけなかったのを除けばよかったと思う。接待ディナーでまた利用したい。

We did the chefs menu and it was the best dinner we have ever had from the food to the service to the entire experience including meeting the chef. Truly a night to remember.

Great presentation and pre canned menus so I didn’t have to think much. Presentation is beautiful. I might suggest not ordering sparking water as it’s 12 per bottle.. we went through 4 of them

Fantastic venue with fabulous food in a lovely setting. Our servers Nate and Rebecca provided exceptional friendly service. Omar the manager was extremely attentive and accommodating. Back of the house produced food that make your pallet dance and visually appealing. Chef Garg should be proud. Will definitely be back!

It was an amazing experience. I had the Umi tasting menu and it was fantastic. From the lobster with the forbidden rice, the foie grais gyoza, and to the prime rib. It was all delicious and we had a chance to meet Vikram the chef. Great guy.

Vikram's attention to detail and subtle and deft management of flavors, preparation and method is at Michelin star level. Signature items are truly unique and dreamy, such as the popcorn soup, tenderloin and curries. The slightly crusted monchon was flawless. Desserts and wine pairing are divine. Go now before everyone discovers this emerging star in Hawai'i's culinary firmament.
