Absolutely incredible food and dining experience. Highly recommend the UMI tasting menu. Add the caviar for an inventive take on caviar while still letting the caviar itself shine. Can’t wait to go back!

Girls night out! We were treated like Queens Such a wonderful time was had by all. Umi restaurant was convenient to get to. We parked at Halekulani Hotel and had a drink by ocean, was able to walk across the street to Umi’s. The hostess seated us and was very knowledgeable on recommendations for our table. Our waiter, Damien was excellent, recommendations of wines for entrees, to the description of tantalizing flavors noted on the menu. Hard to say what was best. The Curry was a hit, popcorn soup amazing, abalone in the beautiful shell, just to name a few. Mango popsicle and other desserts so delicious. As the evening was winding down the Chef Vikram Garg stopped by our table to chat, what a delight that was. Girls night out was a hit. Thanks Umi for setting the bar for the next Girls Night outing. We will be back.

Amazing food and the chef is very good with guests thanking them for coming. I feel taken care of at his resturant. Curry is amazing!!!

Best ribeye ever!! (Truly and we’ve had a lot of incredible ribeyes). Most amazing dining experience and incredible service!! Wine pairings on tasting menu were excellent. Go with the Umi tasting menu over the Waikiki- Delicious!! Pavlova is the most deliiiicious dessert- the lilikoi center & lilikoi caviar were to die for ! Still drooling over that one! Xoxo overall a 10/10!! The art work is meaningful and so tastefully done. A luxurious atmosphere and experience to match. Thank you, UMI! We’ll be back soon!

We had the Umi and Waikiki pre-fix dinner. Both were excellent. Nice birthday celebration. Looking forward to coming back on anther special occasion.

you won't find a better dinner house with the quality of food anywhere on the islands. Everything was 10 stars. A true taste sensation. Broke the lip. Nathan was an excellent waiter, patient and at your service.UMI UMI UMI. The owner and inspiration for the restaurant came and greeted each table like you were at his home. The Aloha Spirit is strong.

Loved the curry tasting menu. Unfortunately found a tiny hair in the curry but the staff was prompt to get the curry replaced.

This was a truly disappointing experience! This is a basic hotel restaurant. Unless you are staying in this hotel, there would be no reason to go here. The ambience was on par with a chain restaurant but the prices were gourmet. There were no real vegetarian options and a limited menu selection overall. My wife had the arugula salad which was good but uninspired. I had the lobster which was the size of maybe two jumbo shrimp. It was amazing but an appetizer sized dish priced as a large entree. We left with room in our bellies and a lot less in our wallet. Do not recommend for any occassion.
