Uma Casa is a new Portuguese restaurant located in San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood. Uma Casa features a Portuguese-focused wine list, creative fortified wine cocktails, and a delectable raw bar.
Chef Telmo's Portuguese menu is inspired and approachable, with an eye toward traditional old world flavors and a nod to local California cuisine.

Great menu choices and every dish was spectacular. Lobster bisque, shrimp, fish, and mousse. Great service, as well. Love the experience.

Second time to visit to Uma Casa. Both times the food is excellent, and servers are kind and attentive. Chose from ala carte menu as we did't need much dessert. Wish the location is more convenient, but I would definitely go back.

Amazing food and service. The only minor criticism is there’s a bit of sand in the otherwise super delicious seafood rice. This was our fifth visit and will be back.

We hosted a couple of friends at Uma Casa, and they loved it as much as we do. The sauteed shrimp, polenta, and braised octopus were fabulous as always, and our guests were impressed. The green salad was surprisingly good with crunchy almonds, thin apple slices, and a wonderful dressing. The bacalhau and short ribs entrees were yummy as well. And all the desserts were super tasty also. Service was impeccable, too. Highly recommended.

This is a neighborhood gem! We had visited Portugal, and wanted to have authentic food. The dishes and the choices were good. We had the three course dinner for 56 dollars, and we all picked different choices, and then shared tastes. it was a fun way to have dinner. We came from Oakland, and its a pretty long drive, but we will come back. They also have a great selection of Portuguese wine. And the desor, with lovely blue and white tiles was cool and pleasant.

It’s a good neighborhood restaurant I particularly liked the starters and the Portuguese red wines which were outstanding.

Our server forgot even after 4 reminders to bring my doggie box, and we were eventually waiting for another 10 minutes or so at the front until finally, he remembered to bring it. Food was very good, and it is a fun place.

Absolutely spectacular visit for Portuguese restaurant week. My Portuguese husband was super impressed by all of the food, and that saying something! We will definitely be back.

Restaurant week res but ordered from main menu to get the premium grilled sardine appetizer and whole fried branzino entrée, which were both excellent. Boneless braised short rib was okay, a bit lifeless, but the fish courses were the stars.Also recommend the olive oil cake, served toasted with passion fruit sorbet. We noted the special occasion on our reservation and were treated to glasses of spumante by our slightly overtaxed but attentive waitperson. A happy experience all around, will return.

We introduced our daughter and son-in-law to Uma Casa and celebrated our anniversary. Our combination of several small plates and a few larger ones (all shared) made for a memorable evening.

This makes the 2nd time I've dined at Uma Casa. Upon arrival (at our reservation time) we were greeted and escorted right away to a table near the middle of the dining room. A beautiful tiled divider sectioned us from the bar. A server came to the table in just a minute or so. We were brought waters (still & sparkling). We were asked about cocktails and appetisers. We placed our orders and served briefly after. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our water mentioned a few specialty entrees and explained a few menu items. He was charming, attentive, and professional and made us feel that he was happy to serve us. The meal was excellent tasting and the portion size was generous. We had deserts. All in all, a great dining experience. ***** for cleanliness, ambience, food and service. We'll be back. :)

Food was good. Best was dessert and fries but it was shocking that a dinner for two and one glass of wine and one beer across the two of us was 200.

Food and drinks were very tasty. Service was a little slow. We weren’t in a rush, but still noticed it was a bit of a wait between courses. They were busy, though, and servers were friendly and apologetic. It was really great to have some good Portuguese food in the city. The natas were delicious. Would definitely come again to try some other dishes.

The staff is very welcoming, the food is excellent. Great night out with friends, the three prix fix menu is flexible which allowed us to try lots of different items on the menu and we left very full!

The food was interesting. There were 3 of us and we each got the 3 course, shared the first two and the dessert, and we were all full. We loved the sauted shrimp and garlic white wine, the arugula and strawberry salad, and the arroz de mariscos. The duck confit rice fritters was not that good. The baked cod casserole was pretty good and so was the cornmeal crusted panfried cod. The fish quality was good. Dessert was all good. Pastel de Nata and Bolo de Laranja.

Went here to celebrate my love. The service is slow, but it’s because it is more of a boutique restaurant with very delicious food and hand crafted cocktails. They have a nice ambiance with quiet sound. Will come again. A smidge pricey, but that’s SF.

Pleasant, casual, clean restaurant with cheerful, helpful staff, and a very interesting menu of Portuguese dishes. The SOPA DE FEIJÃO E FUNCHO ( white bean and fennel soup ) and PASTEL DE NATA ( custard tart and coffee gelato dessert ) were excellent. The BACALHAU À GOMES DE SÁ ( salt cod casserole entree ) was dry, salty and the onions were not caramelized as described on the menu. The other three items ( SALADA DE RÚCULA salad, PEIXE FRITO entree, and SERRADURA dessert ) were just OK. The really awful surprise of the evening was the check listing a $70 rose wine. There were no prices for the wines on the menu and I did not think to ask. And sadly there was no bartender working that evening, so no cocktails. Beer and wine were available. Otherwise the $55 price for the 3 courses was reasonable.

As they have only set menu, service was quick sometimes to quick, dinner was over in less than an hour! I recommend asking customers when they are ready for the next course not just bring out immediately after clearing the table. Nonetheless food was delicious and we will return.

Too much salt!1. Ordered a cod dish that was so salty it was inedible. The Caldo Verde soup that wasn’t hot either in temperature or spice. The duck appetizer was tasty and well presented.

As always service, food, wine And the ambience was fantastic ✅ Took my friend and her husband for the first time and they loved it as much as we do ♥️ The level of noise makes the experience, transports you to Europe! So to me that is not noise 😌 If you’ve not been to Uma Casa you must try it👌
