Uchiko, du japonais et voulant dire «enfant de Uchi", est le prochain projet de restaurant du célèbre chef executive et sushi master Tyson Cole. Situé dans le centre de Austin, ce second emplacement de Cole très convoité, Uchi présente la même excellence et ambiance énergique que l'original avec quelques ajouts notables. Uchiko mettra en vedette un nouveau menu avec le même style de cuisine fraîche et innovante que Uchi, une salle principale qui accepte les réservations tout au long de la soirée et un bar /café où il est possible de manger.

Always a wonderful experience at Uchiko. We dined on Monday and our server was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She made wonderful suggestions and kept us moving at a nice pace. Our usual server Tammy (and Tyler) even stopped by and made the experience even better. Can’t wait to visit again bc I dream about the golden osetra!!!

Our favorite thing to do is try and get seats at the bar (sushi or drinks) and ask for the chef / bartenders unofficial omakase - where we just talk about what we like and then let them surprise us. It never disappoints. The staff is amazing and so good at what they do, we get to enjoy delicious plates we may have otherwise overlooked. Truly some of the highest quality sushi in freshness and preparation you can find in ATX. It makes for a fantastic date night every time.

Really lovely small exotic portions. Red eye tuna sashimi and Australian wagyu, and soft-shell crab were standouts. Comp valet was very convenient. A lively atmospheric restaurant. WE would definitely go to Ichiko again.

Uchiko was great as usual. We ordered several dishes and loved them all. Favorite was the Ko salad and banana cake. During this visit most dishes were very salt forward for some reason and hard to enjoy fully. We did inform the waiter. This has never happened before. Hope they can adjust that as I love Uchiko and plan to come back.

Nothing short of Amazing. We celebrated our anniversary and am very glad we chose Uchiko. This is the best restaurant in Austin and among the best in the country. Our server, Holly, was incredible and always attentive to our requests. I cannot say enough about how great of an experience this was.

We have been to Uchiko many times, and this is the first time that I had an issue with the service. The food was excellent, but to us, this is never a quick dining experience, as you should be able to savor their excellent selections. But the waiter kept pushing us. Perhaps it was our seating time, which was 4:30? (It still took 10 minutes to seat us, even though the tables were empty.) I think he was eager to get us "turned over". We dropped a significant amount of money, so it's not like we were hurting sales or his tip. This was not a happy hour thing, but a full on dinner. He had said things like, "I have this and this and this coming, and then the desert." We both felt it. The last issue, as it was my wife's birthday, the waiter said he had a special treat coming for us. In the past, this usually meant that we would get a special item from the chef. No, this was just the Milk and Cereal dessert (awesome, we always get it, anyways), but he still charged us for it. That's not special.

Was visiting from Washington DC for our anniversary and I can say this was by far one of the most delicious Japanese restaurants I have been to! From the sea bass to the nigiri madai, scallop and sake-everything was fresh, flavorful and perfectly presented. The ambience was serene yet lively at the same time adding to the amazing tasty experience. Hope to come back to try the other Uchi family restaurants.

Uchiko is far and above the best dining experience in Austin. From the thoughtful, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable service to the inventive flavors, quality, and constant innovative change on the menu, Uchiko has never disappointed. And one of the best happy hours in the city! Their toyosu menu is ever-changing and a fantastic place to browse exotic sushi options. Their salads are remarkably delicious and innovative for salads. Their crudos and skewers are all incredible. And their desserts are truly “break your brain” kinds of flavors that are the perfectly punctuate the meal. Cannot recommend enough!!

We love Uchiko and have been numerous times. Service was a bit slow today - both to get seated and to get the food out. (This is not usual in our experience here!) True to form however the food itself was excellent and our server kindly brought us a free piece of nigiri. Really a gem of Austin!

Came here with the family over happy hour and ordered most of that menu plus a couple of extras from the regular menu. This was one of our favorite Austin stops. Excellent range of hot and cold bites, and they were great about adjusting to numbers (ie. there were 4 of us so they could just add an extra skewer to a dish etc. so everyone could have their own). The cereal milk dessert and black sesame s’mores are outstanding! Service was perfect — friendly, professional and attentive. Definitely recommend!

We make a special plan to book Uchiko each time we are in Austin over the past 15 years. And love it. This time was, somehow, less remarkable. A couple of wow dishes, for sure. But the Omakase dishes weren’t very diverse. 5 of the ten dishes featured a heavy lemon zest profile. The central hot dish of white fish and turnips lacked any distinctive flavor though was beautiful. For a $500 dinner, it wasn’t remarkable this time. I know the brand is expanding; I hope the former creativity and explosive innovation in flavor becomes a lead in the expansion.

It says a lot if you’ve been in businesses for as long as Uchiko has and it’s your first time and they do not disappoint! Our table was seated a little past our resy but the managers and team at Uchiko kept us up to date on any changes, made sure we had some small bites and a drink while we waited. It was the extra little touch that made all our first experience exceptional! The food was incredible and the service was some of the best I’ve received. Thank you for making it memorable!

100000/10 experience… definitely one of the better restaurants I’ve been to in Austin and I’ve been to a few… the food and customer service were fantastic! I look forward to dining here again, and I highly recommend Uchiko if you’re in Austin… you will not be disappointed.

Delicious food and bevvies - everyone at our table loved it. Took a while to seat us (not their fault since the prior table was lingering), but they made it up to us by checking in on us often, comping our dessert, and just being apologetic and attentive overall. Sooo despite waiting 40 mins, the good service and great food make me actually want to go back!

Lovely ambiance with dim lighting. The foods great; it comes in shareable portions which I love/prefer! But you could order individually enters if you prefer regular portions. Delicious variety of dishes, lovely staff who all looked like they wanted to be there, only negative-ish thing is the cocktails aren’t strong, I’m an extreme lightweight champ and even to me, they tasted very watered down and tasted like diluted juice. Maybe it was the drinks I had but I wish they had more depth and flavor AND alcohol lol but overall lovely place , lovely food,lovely staff, lovely ambiance/mood. 🤍 highly recommend this lovely establishment 🤍🤍

My girlfriend and I had the 10-course omakase here for the first time and it was disappointedly underwhelming, especially for $175 a person. I normally am a big supporter of Uchi/ko but guess I had high expectations of a more creative menu but it was mostly sashimi and nigiri with the same sauces and garnishes.
