Uchibā, loosely "Uchi Bar" in Japanese, is Uchi's izakaya‑inspired cocktail bar and restaurant delivering a vast selection of Japanese whiskies, unique cocktails, yakitori grill items and Uchi classics. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

Food was outstanding by the three key measures of flavor, composition, and presentation. Standout dishes were hama chili, pork rib bao, ramen salad. Service was prompt and knowledgeable. The server had to speak loudly to overcome the noise of . Ambience would have been much better had there not been a loud banging door (think “is the outside awning falling through the window?” loud) and several loud patrons sporting baseball caps (backwards, no less) and “cowboy” hats while dining. A restaurant serving food this civilized could benefit from a dress code, in my opinion. I’m still giving it 5 stars because the food is great. Just clean up the ambience. Hope this helps.

Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait over 45 minutes for our table for 2. While we were waiting, I had to go up to the bar to try and get some water, overall the staff was just not very accommodating while we waited. Once we sat, our waitress was lovely and the food was good but very frustrating experience

Food started ok then went downhill quickly with a mix of bland/mishandled fish to under seasoned secondary dishes, included undercooked dumplings: I was asked why I didn’t finish these courses and was sincere and respectful with my response. No mention of replacing the dishes or removing them from the bill. Sad for an Uchi family restaurant. Can’t go back.sorry.

Uchibā is awesome! The food is great, and the cocktails are delish. Sitting at the bar was fun, especially with Rick as our bartender/server—he was very friendly and attentive. Happy hour is a must for great deals on nigiri, rolls, apps, and cocktails. Highly recommend!

Fantastic as always! Wonderful attention to detail in both food and service! Thanks to Zoya, Johnny (sushi) and Tiyana (sp…sorry!) who are just always above and beyond!

Just like Uchi and Uchiko, the food was outstanding, and the service was top tier per usual. Amy was a gem. The one misstep (well, absolute failure) was the espresso martini. I rarely send items back, bit it was awful, and we noticed during our dinner that the two tables next to us did the same. There was another table nearby who left two without drinking them. The other cocktails were fabulous, so it was shocking that it was such a miss. Please have the beverage director reevaluate that recipe.

One of the best spots in Austin. Very cool lively atmosphere, feels like a movie scene. The service was unmatched, food off the charts. Some of the best sushi in town!
