The award-winning Uchi, which translated from Japanese means “home,” was first opened in Austin, Texas by James Beard Award winner Chef Tyson Cole. Since then, Cole’s signature non-traditional take on Japanese cuisine has been warmly received by visitors from across the country and around the globe. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

Incredible food, very well worth it. The main problem with Uchi is their pacing during the Omakase. We’ve been at several Uchi locations and half the time, we’ll get one dish, then a long wait period, then three dishes at once, and so on. It’s very awkward. Otherwise, incredible dining experience

Uchi is my favorite restaurant in Denver. Liz is the best but so are all of the other staff. Impeccable service and the best food experience! Let them choose your dishes, you’ll be glad you did.

Extremely overpriced. I ordered the Omakase and I left hungry and without 450 less in my packet for three people. The portions were so small that I was not able to enjoy the test. The taste was Ok, fish quality was average. Definitely

The service was incredible - informative, attentive, didn’t rush us, provided great recommendations. The food. The food was ridiculously delicious! There were 4 of us and we had a fantastic sampling of the what felt like the entire menu. The vegetarian options are beautiful, fresh, creative! We hadn’t been to Uchi for a couple of years and will make the trip from Windsor much more regularly! Phenomenal experience!

Unpopular opinion ahead--didn't live up to the hype. The sour moment--imagine having bone marrow served in a bone (with chopsticks?), asking the server for suggestions about how to eat it, they suggest taro chips and come back to say that the chef "said no"...ok, well then can we just order some taro chips? 'No, the chef already knows you have the bone marrow and asked for taro chips so he won't let us give them to you'....dictatorial kitchens are not really my thing. And eating bone marrow with chopsticks is fundamentally unsatisfying and you leave ALL that melted liquid goodness behind. Some dishes were underseasoned, the sequence was off-putting (bone marrow before the delicate sashimi dishes made them all taste the same), but the fried milk was awesome. Not worth the cost--spend it at Izakaya, Matsuhisa, Sushi Den...

As someone who has eaten at Uchi/Uchiko at multiple locations, including the original location in Austin and in Dallas, the Denver location does not disappoint. The staff was amazing and very knowledgeable about the food they served. Just as good, if not better, than the locations in Texas. 10/10

Amazing experience overall and food was delicious! Our server Jameson was great and curated a menu for us well within our budget and was very diligent in sticking with my allergy restrictions! Highly recommend to all! Will be back soon!

FINALLY-and I mean this-FINALLY a restaurant Denver can be proud of!!! This is hands-down, the best sushi, if not the best restaurant, in Denver. We are so happy to have found you Uchi. Thank you for a delicious dining experience. We were not able to stay and have a relaxed, coursed out meal because we were heading to a concert, but our waiter was extremely accommodating, helpful, and all around awesome. 10 out of 10!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Uchi. We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and it was her choice to dine there. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We will definitely go again.

My experience at the cocktail bar was spectacular! The bartender was knowledgeable on nigiri options as well as zero-proof drink options. The food quality was great.

Uchi has the BEST sushi in Denver. It’s pricey but worth every penny. Definitely take myself atleast twice a year for the Omakase to treat myself. Exceptional.

Came here for our anniversary and they sat us at a huge 6 person table. Asked is we could sit somewhere more intimate and got a response of if it would be a “problem” then he could talk to someone about it. There were multiple 2 person tables and we didn’t want to be problem so we awkwardly stayed.

Everything tasted great except the salmon was a little fishy. Their sauces are incredible, but not when it's there to mask lesser-quality fish. This was only the case for the salmon, the rest of what we ordered was incredible. The service was also outstanding.

We love coming to Uchi! Its one of our favorites spots in Denver. We visited on New Years and were disappointed in our service. We had ordered and got food quickly as it comes out coursed and when its ready. We did order a few rolls and from when we ordered and received them it was over an hour.Our waiter kept coming over asking to confirm what we ordered. We saw multiple other's around us receiving their orders. I wished he had transparency and just told us he forgot. The waiter ended up brining us our check before we received our rolls.. we felt super rushed towards the end. It was upsetting after spending a lot of money to be rushed out and no expiation given for why part of our meal took so long to receive. We finally got rolls and hour and a half after we ordered them and 40 mins after we received our last entree. We had already paid and were waiting for rest of dinner to arrive. Very disappointed and sad no apology or even acknowledgement was given.

Our waiter took a lot of time to address us. We waited 20 minutes to get the check once we had finished eating. I will not be coming anymore

I hate writing this because I previously had such great experiences here. We went for my boyfriends birthday and had a 6:30 reservation where we immediately let them know we’d like to do the 10 course omakase. The food was incredible, but the service was terrible. It took forever to get our drinks, we had 2-3 courses come out pretty quickly followed by extremely long lulls. We never got the last round of drinks we ordered, and we didn’t conclude our dinner until 9:00 (almost 2.5 hours after we got there). When you’re paying that much for dinner, it just stings when the service isn’t great. Hopefully this was just a one-off experience.

Expensive but very good. We have the vegetarian chefs choice dinner, so we don’t have to choose from the menu. It is lovely and really good.
