The award-winning Uchi, which translated from Japanese means “home,” was first opened in Austin, Texas by James Beard Award winner Chef Tyson Cole. Since then, Cole’s signature non-traditional take on Japanese cuisine has been warmly received by visitors from across the country and around the globe. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

                    My wife and I like to make sushi night a lasting experience which we’ve always been able to do at other Uchi and Uchiko locations. I explained to the server we were in no rush and wanted time in between plates, however that is not what happened. Food was constantly coming out before we could finish the previous plate. (I should specify we ordered the chefs’ tasting menu) Drinks took awhile and none of the servers/expeditors appeared to enjoy being there. We felt extremely rushed to the point where we couldn’t enjoy ourselves. When you plan to spend $500+, you want to take your time and relax. We weren’t able to do so. As much as we’ve enjoyed the Houston and Austin locations, I’m sad to say I doubt we will return to the Denver location. If we return we will just order in a way that we can control the pace.

                    Me and my wife came here with another couple for her birthday weekend. We ordered the 10-course Omakase, and it was without a doubt one of the best meals of our lives. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and presented, and the servers did a fantastic job explaining what we were about to enjoy and how it was intended to be eaten.

                    Incredible food, very well worth it. The main problem with Uchi is their pacing during the Omakase. We’ve been at several Uchi locations and half the time, we’ll get one dish, then a long wait period, then three dishes at once, and so on. It’s very awkward. Otherwise, incredible dining experience

                    Uchi is my favorite restaurant in Denver. Liz is the best but so are all of the other staff. Impeccable service and the best food experience! Let them choose your dishes, you’ll be glad you did.
