The food is amazing!!! BUT, the service was god awful— dude barely acknowledged us the whole time, he never checked if we enjoyed the food or needed drinks (one of the food runners eventually did 20min after getting our entrees). None of the food came out of the kitchen at the same time we were had to wait multiple times to get the rest of the tables food as our food sat. The waiter was just unfriendly (and that’s whatever) but when you combine that with randomly sending out portions of our order and making us wait for others AND having us wait 20min for drinks (we got our apps finished before we got our first drink that we ordered at the same time) AND not checking on refills once. It was a bad experience. Amazing food but I just don’t want to dine here again with service like that, I’ll carry out maybe, but never sitting down there again.

Food and ambience amazing but our server was really poor came to celebrate Mother’s Day I been hearing amazing things about this restaurant and I been telling my mom about it so finally we make it and I was so hype about it, and really this happens to us our server never introduced himself or recommended anything he just take orders my busser was the more hyped about recommending appetizers main entrance and dessert ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to David thanks for the service David was the busser lol cuz our server was just bad

Franco was wonderful and very attentive to everything we needed and the staff was extremely nice to everyone. We will all be back many times!

We had brunch here for Mother’s Day. We sat outside our their beautiful patio and enjoyed a relaxing meal. The service was attentive but did not hurry us out. We loved the ceviche and guacamole. I had the chorizo crepe which was delicious and very filling. Others had the French toast and pulpo tacos. Everyone loved their meals. I would recommend this restaurant and I would like to come back for dinner.

Our 2nd visit here. Equally impressive as the first time. We were celebrating two birthdays and they made it special. Amazing, unique and flavorful sauces with each dish.

Tzuco exceeded our expectations in every way. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved it from the appetizer to the dessert. Our waiter, Saul, was the best! We will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Food was fabulous in a lovely setting. Service started out good and then felt like we just got ditched. Waiter was off in the corner hugging on another wait staff and seemingly forgot he was serving our table. We weren’t loud, asking for special treatment or complaining. Just wanted basic service.

Great place- food was delicious- upscale mexican. We loved everythign we orderd- cucumber margaritas as amazing! Servcie was prompt and friendly. Good valoue as well.

Excellent tasting food with sizable portions on the barbacoa and short rib dishes. It was my birthday and they brought a cute little cake. The evening felt special and the food was beautifully presented. Thanks for the lovely evening!

Sat at the bar. Great but it would be very slow if busy. Food is top notch. Guacamole is shockingly good. Octopus yes ! Cucumber marg also great.

Limited Cinco de Mayo menu and ran out of the choice my wife really wanted. Good service, but not great. Overall was good but could have been great.

Everything was amazing until my wife went into the bathroom and saw a food runner come out of the men stale and didn't wash his hands. It wasn't the handicap bathroom Either. He then brought us our chips and we was disgusted. We tried not to be too alarm and just continue eating our food. We told the hostess on the way out ... but because of this we will not be back

We went for brunch on Sunday. Host and hostess at the entrance were highly rude. We were one of the first people that morning. It was a colder day than expected. We had mad outdoor reservation but as it was freezing outside requested if they can accomodate us at indoor area. They said there are no tables available and said we don't have any options other than the bar. We checked online reservations and there was availability at the indoor tables even at that moment online. We showed the host and he said there is a glitch in the system and it shows wrong availability. During the 2 hours we were dining there at least half of the tables at the indoor area were empty. Bar chairs were highly uncomfortable. It took us 30 min for them to get our orders even though were were one of the first people to sit that day. Waiter and waitresses looked burnout and they were highly inattentive. We ordered couple dishes to share they failed to bring us plates and utensils. We had to remind multiple times. One of the worst service experience in Chicago. I am hoping they will improve as its disappointing given good reviews about quality of food.

This is my third time back to Tzuco. I really like this restaurant as it has a lot of good veggie options (please put one more main course on the menu that is veggie!), the service is always great and the food is elevated.

Definitely enjoyed this place. The octopus is one of the best I’ve had, only rivaled by Atardi in Aruba! Excellent cocktails and service. Will definitely return.

The food and drinks were delicious and the ambiance was nice. The individual coat/bag racks at each table were also a nice touch. It was on the noisier side, but not in a disruptive way.

Always enjoy meals here Had first the mole manhattan which started a little sweet but mellowed out to be a great drink My wife’s margarita had way too much salt but was ok. The guacamole appetizer was a little sparse on the amount but complemented the crisp chips well. Butternut squash soup was flavorful with hint of chipotle but a little too sweet for our tastes. We filled up on delicious appetizers of a nice sized piece of grilled octopus and a piled high mussels dish with a delicious creamy broth complemented with the biggest piece of delicious fresh bread we used for dipping. Outstanding!! No room for dessert but great meal as always
