In July 2008, Twigs Tavern and Grille opened to bring fresh flavors in a relaxing atmosphere to Rochester, Minnesota. Featuring Rochester's only restaurant with a dedicated gluten-free kitchen and a diverse menu of small plates, entrées, and the Hot Rock, our dishes feature an innovative mix of cultural flavors from around the world and fresh ingredients. Gluten-Free Dining
In addition to our lunch and dinner menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrées, our restaurant offers one of the most extensive gluten-free menus in Rochester. All gluten-free meals are prepared by our specially trained staff in a separate kitchen area with dedicated equipment to help prevent cross contamination.

This was by far the worst restaurant experience we have had in years. The service was excellent, the food was horrific. I can’t believe they are so well rated on Open Table. This is also the first time I have ever heard every table around us complain about the quality of the food. I tried the crispy risotto with jalapeños- it was cold and gummy. The orange in the sauce was disgusting. I sent it back for crispy Parmesan with marinara. That, too, was awful. It seemed as if the Parmesan was out of a can! I think the root of the problem is that the oil was not heated properly. Everything was greasy. Maybe it’s because it was Sunday night, and they sent the decent chef home. It is very rare that we ever leave a poor review- hopefully the manager sees this and can make changes. The cocktails were great, but it took forever to get them.

It was a birthday and Mother’s Day celebration and we could not have found a better venue to celebrate. Thanks Twigs! And if people want to know the ribs are fantastic!

Lovely outdoor space enhanced our meal. Good service. Several vegetarian options on the large menu. Enjoyed the veggie bowl with asparagus. Tap beer was tasty. Overall a nice experience!

Easy to say this is the best GF food in town....but they have been consistently the best for at least 7 years......my gluten eating friends/family are Twigs fans as well....stay classy Twigs Tavern & Grille!

My family and I always enjoy coming to Twig's Tavern and Grille. We are from way out of town, and it is often a part of our stop when we are in-town for doctors' appointments. I have Celiac Disease, and the treatment and service is utterly fantastic. The food is absolutely delicious, and they have an extensive menu. If you leave hungry, it was likely your own fault. I cannot express enough how much we like going to Twig's.

As a person with Coeliac this is my favorite restaurant anywhere. Gluten free foods are prepared in a separate kitchen. The choices are amazing!

I don’t even know where to begin. Nothing about our meal was enjoyable. The service was awful - we were seated and then had to wait about 30 minutes to even ask someone if we could get a waiter. The cocktails were impressively bad. No one was looking to get drunk, but there absolutely no alcohol in them. I thought I was crazy when I tasted it, but two others at the table had the same experience. We did ask the waiter if he gave us mocktails by accident, but he confirmed he placed the order correctly. I ordered the meatloaf, which was covered unnecessarily in cheese and the broccolini was steamed to mush. My significant other enjoyed the walleye, but the asparagus suffered the same fate as the broccolini. SIL ordered the chicken Caesar salad with dressing on the side. It came without chicken and dressing covering it. She sent it back and was still charged for it (but a small instead of a large??). She also ordered a garlic breadstick and was given a dry, flavorless, sad-looking log that looked both undercooked and pale. To be clear, she did not order the gluten free version, though that was what was delivered to her and at that point in the meal, we just wanted to be done and also had no faith that the waiter could handle the concern. There was nothing redeeming about the meal (except my SO wants you to know the walleye was perfectly cooked).

There are many great restaurants in Rochester, but once I discovered Twigs, I was hooked and decided for the next 10 days to binge my way through the menu options for lunch and dinners. The service was flawless. I was impressed by the culture of the way the wait staff helped each other for the benefit of the guests. The variety of foods is amazing. Entres are reasonably priced.

Our food was delicious. I had barramundi for the first time. Loved it. Nice atmosphere at Twigs. Trent was an attentive and wonderful server.

I’m celiac so this was a pure treat! I was able to have fries and everything in the menu was gluten free! I live in the cities but will definitely make special trips here in the future! The food and service was outstanding!!
