The food here SO delicious! Great variety and great recommendations from our server. Important note…I didn’t see this in advance but they charge for soda refills and for you to use the pay app. Would still go back and now I know.

We will NOT be back. Even with a Mother’s Day reservation, our table was next to the kitchen traffic & a placard, I was constantly afraid food was going to fall on my back! The food was only okay, nothing special. Valet parking was horrendous…after waiting in line for 30 minutes, we were told they didn’t service Tupelo Honey. Service was very slow.

The restaurant looks nice outside. Earth sitting area is very dirty. There’s so many stains on all the cushions and the table that they sent us was sticky and dirty. waitress is very nice however, our food was not the greatest. I got the bone in famous fried chicken, which taste like something I would buy at a supermarket but the mac & cheese was decent and my husband had the hot chicken sandwich which was just OK and was very sloppy on the. Maybe their breakfast menu is better not sure but probably won’t be returning because if you can’t make good fried chicken, what’s the point?

Overall a very average experience. There is limited parking out front similar to other restaurants in The Star District. When we arrived there was no one at the front door so when you first walk in you are in the front center of the restaurant, so you can see everything. Luckily we didn't have to wait long to be seated otherwise the area can get crowded very quickly. The restaurant is nicely appointed and there are plenty of windows making the natural aesthetics and bright lights appeasing. I can't remember the waitress name, but she was nice and attentive enough, although barely cracked a smile throughout our entire interaction. We ordered a few appetizers, beer and sausage gumbo and the rice was raw and inedible. There was no apology or visit from the manager but the gumbo was taken off the bill. Fried pickles were decently cooked but nothing to really brag about. We ordered three different versions of the chicken (sandwich, smothered, and fried) and while very tasty, the portions were small compared to the price. The chocolate cake was dense with minimal cake but large amounts of icing. Better than a box but on par with a grocery store cake ordered in advance. The banana pudding was delicious but be fair warned a small is legit small. It was almost laughable (think sample or kid's order size). Bill came up to about $95 before tip with no alcoholic drinks ordered. Would only go again if someone else suggests it and makes a reservation as the only thing worth returning for would be the chicken.

Enjoyed the Happy Hour Special Menu! Ordered the shrimp poor-boy with the Rosemary parmesan fries. Both were Amazing! I would definitely recommend Tupelo Honey Farm-to-Table Restaurant in Frisco, TX. Excellent food and service!

Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar is a southern style restaurant located in Frisco, Texas. I've had brunch at this establishment three times, so I figured it was time to write a review. For starters, we had the "biscuits for a cause" served with blueberry jam and fried green tomatoes served over heirloom grits and goat cheese. Both were superb. For my meal, I had the "sriracha honey friend chicken and waffles." The sriracha sauce is amazing. No sides come with this meal, so if you have a hearty appetite, make sure you order your bacon and eggs on the side. My friend enjoyed the smothered chicken and biscuits. I wasn't in the mood for mimosa's, so I ordered a bottle of wine with my meal and my friends ordered the mimosa flights, which I'm happy I decided to opt out, because they're made with a flavored syrup of some sort, which was way too sweet for my liking. Overall, our time here was pleasant. Our server was attentive, they seated us on time for the reservation and the food was good.

Delicious drinks and food. Highly recommend the sweet & spicy chicken and waffles or the sandwich. Also the garden salad with lemon herb dressing was fantastic.

Good idea to order the biscuits!! Nice to nibble on with our excellent mimosas. I enjoyed the blood orange and lime one. My husband had the smothered chicken and really liked it. I had the honey dusted chicken and collard greens. Yummy. Service was excellent.

I like Tupelo Honey. It’s my second visit. My first was a lunch and I had a salad. Today, I chose the blackened shrimp poboy. Now when I think of a poboy, it’s overfilled with shrimp and flavorful, not this one. With only 6 shrimp that’s added almost as a garnish. I paid too much. I ate maybe a quarter of it and brought the rest home to add more of my own shrimp. The chef needs to rethink this menu item, especially if there is a 6 shrimp limit. My daughter ordered the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich, expecting a crispy piece of chicken soaked in the sauce but that’s not what she got. There was barely any breading and there was a slight drizzle of the sauce. The fries and my Tupeloma were the best part of the meal. I’m not one to give low reviews but I’m disappointed in the execution of these dishes.

Made a reservation in advance for a “standard table” got put at a high top in the bar. Drinks were very slow, so we ordered slow. Food took 30+ min, and because we were in the bar it was very noisy. Waiter did his best-not his fault the food/drinks were slow. Food was excellent once it arrived, but all in we were there for 2 hours for dinner.

We have been to Tupelo Honey many times and liked it in the past. The menu has gotten much smaller but the biggest issue last night was that the service was horrible. Our waiter would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. It took probably 40 minutes before we even got food ordered and I ended up going to the bar to get a drink after waiting for so long for the waiter to return. This was not a good experience, probably won’t go back.

I really wanted to love this place but after receiving food that wasn’t even editable, I don’t plan on returning. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. My food arrived with a pool of oil layered on top the grits, grits were supper runny snd shrimp did not look appetizing at all. In my opinion the plate should have never left the kitchen.

Our experience is always top-notch at Tupelo Honey, but I wanted to take a moment to highlight the service of "Cate". She a new server, who had previously spent time as a hostess. Cate was so attentive to our needs, we never had to look around for her or ask her for anything. She was so nice and friendly!

First experience here. I had heard great reviews. When I booked the reservation, I was given information that there was only a Valentine’s Day menu to choose from. However, once we got there, we were not told of being able to order off of the regular menu, so we ordered an appetizer, as was part of the Valentines special. Anyway it got confusing and when we did ask about the special we were told the appetizer we ordered was not part of it so therefore we could no longer go with the special for our dinners. Anyway, I guess not a big deal however, I just feel like it should have been Presented to us in a better way

I always enjoy dinner at Tupelo Honey. The food and service are consistently good. I took my out-of-town adult niece and her friends for my niece's birthday and Tupolo Honey did not disappoint. The food was served promptly, hot and the waiter was attentive but not overbearing. I ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and I am going to assume inflation has forced them to downsize. They were delicious but the tomatoes were small and in a newer twist, sat on a bed of roasted red pepper sauce and heirloom grits with goat cheese. I've never been a grits fan and shame on me for assuming the menu hadn't changed since my last visit, but I have to admit, the grits and the tomatoes were good. One diner ordered the bistro filet and it came out perfectly cooked -- medium rare. A third person ordered the southern chicken bit -- essentially a fried chicken sandwich with brussel sprouts instead of the fries. The plate came out with the fries but the brussel sprouts followed so the table shared the fries. The last person went with the house specialty - the honey dusted fried chicken. Interestingly, you can request light or dark meat chicken. Her assessment was it was perfectly cooked without being greasy. Dessert for my guests was banana pudding. While I didn't have dessert everyone raved about it, even though it didn't look like the banana pudding we all grew up with Nabisco Vanilla Wafers between the layers. This dessert appeared to be all pudding but every person who ordered it, cleaned the dish. They have opened a new location in Irving, TX but since my home is closer to Frisco, that is the location reflected in this review.

We met another couple for brunch on Sunday. It was a great experience! The biscuit appetizer was delicious, and main courses were wonderful. The best part of the experience really was the very friendly waiter and the manager, who checked on us more than once.

The food and service was exceptional. We were seated next to a window facing the street and sidewalk so the people watching was a fantastic unintended consequence. Super experience.
