Food is always so amazing. The taste combinations are well thought out. Prices for brunch are reasonable as equivalent to cheaper chains but much better quality of food. Would come again.

The service was fantastic but the overall quality of the food was disappointing. This is not a cheap place to eat and for the price of the small plates, I certainly expected better. We ordered 6 dishes and only 1 was palatable. The others were bland and tasteless and one was barely even warm. The food took a long time to come out so we did not bother asking for it to be replaced. I am glad we went there but we won't be coming back or recommending this place to friends.

Tapas at its best. Yes, these are smaller plates, more refined, and varied components with great flavors. Service excellent, unique drink options. If you want large meat and potatoes, this is not for you. If you like outstanding food with smaller portions, this is the place. Highly recommend.

First time at Tryst. Attended Mother's Day brunch. Food quality was great with nice flavour palates also good portion sizes (not huge). Service was wonderful and atmosphere was relaxed. We will be back to try dinner!

Wonderful restaurant in St.Albert. It caught us by surprise because we haven't heard much about Tryst. The food tasted great - it's unique cuisine (not something you'll get at every other restaurant). They have perfect little portions that are well priced. The service is good. Meals are served within a reasonable time and friendly, accommodating service. The only hick-up to report is that they inform you that you have to leave your table within a certain time frame before you even sit down to eat, which is a bit of a turn off (i.e. in order to make room for the reservation after you). Its never a welcoming feeling to be told that you have to leave before you get settled in. My suggestion is to have the server inform the patron of a upcoming reservation if the table is moving slow. Otherwise, trust that most people aren't wanting to stay for periods longer than then norm in a restaurant.

Second time at Tryst. First time I thought the portion sizes were very small, but typical with a tapas style. However second time was for Mother’s Day Brunch and I was even more disappointed with the portion sizes. The Eggs Benedict was 2 small pieces of chicken and 2 eggs. No bread. We definitely left very hungry.

We ordered the shared plates: Mussels, Lamb lettuce wraps, parmesan fries. My spouse ordered a Cappuccino. I had lemon water. The cups that the water came in smelled bad, like dirty dishwater smell/that dishwasher musty smell on them. It grossed me out so I poured my water into the scotch cup that my lemons came on and drank from that as it didn't smell like the others. Mussels were good, provided reasonable portions. It was made in a green curry sauce which is different, a unique flavor. The bread that came with the Mussels was burnt and I had to rip off the burnt ends. The lamb lettuce wraps came in a tiny portion, I was shocked when it arrive to the table as this is supposed to be a shared plate. We barely got 2 lettuce wraps each out of it. It included some sauces, there was one that was smoky and it was not my thing at all. Additionally some pickled veggies. The parmesan fries had a good flavour to them, and I liked the homestyle potato fries they use. However, they were overcooked and many of them were hard. My spouse ordered a Cappuccino as well. It was alright, nothing to write home about. The atmosphere was relatively quiet, the service was decent, the waitress was friendly. Nothing above board. Overall, it was alright. But would I return? Unlikely.

Our server forgot our order and then blamed how busy she was, but we could see her talking to her boyfriend the whole time at the bar.
