The positives: I will say that the soul food was excellent. It is made to order so it is pipping hot and taste delicious The waiter was courteous and prompt. The negatives: When we arrived we had to pay $5 to the valet who had us park our own car We arrived early for our 5:00 reservation on Mother’s Day and were told that the kitchen closed at 5:00. We had 10 minutes to order our food. If that’s the case, why were we allowed to make a 5:00 reservation. The restaurant closes at 6:00 on Sundays and we did not know that. So As far as the ambience that everyone is speaking about, this is a club/ lounge at best. It’s dark like a club and decorated poorly like a hole in the wall club from The 90’s at beat. So do not go here thinking that it’s a nice sit down restaurant because it’s not Finally, it would great for Uber eats or catering because the food is wonderful as I’ve mentioned. The best chicken and waffles any of us had ever had!

Loved our server! She was great especially being one of the 2-3 servers that they had that morning. She was nice, energetic and timely. On the other hand, our food was cold and I mean no steam and not hot to touch. Everyone’s plate came out at different times and they were all cold. I ordered the catfish and Mac and cheese. The catfish tasted fishy with no seasoning, just breading and the mac and cheese wasn’t cheesy at all and had too much garlic powder in it, so ended up not finishing it, even though we were drinking. I got 2 free mimosas for my birthday which was so nice! Atmosphere was nice and clean. Over all I would give it a 6/10.

Truth was great. The food and service was great. We were able to meet one of the owners and he was very nice. I would definitely be coming back.

We made "reservations" which was not necessary. Waited over an hour for food that came out "warm". The service was poor, the waiter and waitresses walked pass our table several times to serve others who arrived AFTER we did and to add to it, my credit card was charged twice for something I shouldn't have paid once for. This establishment may be new... they got alot of work to do!!
