Truluck's is our go-to restaurant for fine dining. Unfortunately this time did not measure up. First, our server upsold my wife on the $110 lobster. It was over-cooked and tough. Second, our server was very attentive at the start then seemed to lose interest: I had to ask for a coffee refill and she brought us a dessert menu - which was odd as we were celebrating an anniversary. While we pondered that, she brought a baked Alaskan. We expect more from such a superb restaurant.

Just WOW! We have dined at Truluck's Arboretum many times over the years but not recently. Our family chose it to celebrate father and son birthdays. It was a beautiful evening starting with the quiet booth I had requested in my reservation. Then a birthday greeting at the table. The service was superior and Josh, our server was amazing. The staff allowed our evening to unfold at a leisurely pace and every course of our meal from appetizers to dessert was delicious. Both my wife and I loved the option of ordering smaller portions on some of the menu items. What a brilliant option! No waste and no "to-go" box. Perfect. Thank you Truluck's! Yes, we will return and very soon.

Food was fabulous and a perfect serving. Great for meetings as I could speak normally. Service was 10/10! Great option for a super nice dinner.

While the food and service are better than average, there are other places very nearby, imho, that are just better all around and cost similar or even cheaper. The calamari is just Too Much other stuff. Make the fried squid the star and work on the breading. 10 other ingredients is just too much. Lastly, at these prices, table bread should be included. Good luck but I'm afraid we've broken up for good.

Truluck’s was very thoughtful about where we were seated due to my husband’s hearing loss. Our server Phil, could not have been better! Food was excellent.

What is not to like about white table cloths, cozy booth seating, romantic lighting, and excellent food and service? The men in my life took me to Truluck's for Mother's Day and everything, including the company, was perfect. Our favorite go-to elevated dining restaurant in ATX that is not pretentious nor over-priced. We especially like that we are not rushed through our meal, can relax, and enjoy the special occasion.

Was not acknowledged for 10 minutes or more when we sat there with no water. The main entree came out before the 2nd course, our salad. Customer service definitely not Trulucks normal.

Truluck’s is the place for special occasions. Recently we went for a special dinner for my husband and the staff did everything I asked and made the whole evening truly special. The food was excellent-from the lobster bisque to the dessert! The service is spot on-right when you need them but not hovering. Thank you for a memorable evening.

The food and service was fantastic! We went for happy hour and they've added some new items to the bar menu, We started with drinks, I had the Voila, it was a beautiful presentation and quite tasty! We ordered the meatballs, hot and crunchy shrimp and a new dish, blue crab guacamole along with several a la carte crab claws. Truluck's has changed the recipe a bit on the meatballs, honestly liked the original recipe better but they were still good. You can't go wrong with the hot and crunchy shrimp, classic favorite. The blue crab guacamole was excellent, it was served with plantains for dipping. The claws were medium in size and super sweet! If you still have room for dessert, don't miss the baked Alaska.

I love coming here for special occasions and have never left less than satisfied. I was a little disappointed this time as my lobster was a bit overcooked and my filet had a large chunk of connective tissue and about 20% of it was inedible. The staff is super nice and attentive, I love the set up and ambiance.

Trulucks is definitely a restaurant you want to visit when you are celebrating a special occasion. The ambiance to the staff are exceptional. The food taste and preparation were awesome.

The food and service is always superb at Truluck’s, but when Mike is performing in the lounge, it’s a whole different level of amazing! Not only does the lounge have some exclusive app options like blue crab guacamole, but the real treat is hearing Mike’s unique covers of all your favorite songs across genres and time periods. Check it out, because you won’t be disappointed!

Truluck's' in the Arboretum is our go-to for our anniversary each year and any special occasion really. Or if we just want some great steaks and seafood. Daniel, or server, was fantastic. He was friendly and super personable. Outstanding food and service, as usual. Never disappointed!

My dish was acceptable but not what you would expect but my husband felt his Sea Bass was too old and was very fishy smelling! Service was excellent and the celebratory atmosphere for our 42 anniversary and the excellent service by Leo overshadowed any smelly fish by far!

We always celebrate our anniversary with Truluck's because they are always so gracious and the experience always makes us feel special. Tonight was no different. Sat at our special table without having to ask for it, Dan provided expetional service throughout the night. When it came time for dessert, I asked if we could see the menu because I was not in the mood for the Complimentary Baked Alaska that they will bring for a special occasion. It is excellent, but wasn't in the mood for ice cream. Well Dan left and was gone for a few minutes, and when he returned he had the most awesome anniversary dessert made for us. 3 petite desserts on one plate. It was phenomenal! Dan listened and went above and beyond. Thanks to everyone for making the night special for us, we love celebrating our anniversary with Truluck's.

Everything was fabulous. The steak was cooked to perfection. Service impeccable. Staff and management very attentive and welcoming. It was pouring rain when we were leaving. Management offered an umbrella so my friend could get the car.

Excellent food and exceptional service made for a wonderful anniversary dinner. The New England sea scallops with truffle mushroom risotto were our favorite dish, but everything was great across three courses. Expansive wine list, with many choices both by the bottle and the glass. Our server, Dean, and the rest of the staff provided outstanding service; it is perhaps the best we’ve had in Austin and what really distinguishes Truluck’s. We will absolutely be returning.

We celebrated our wedding/anniversary and they made sure it was memorable. They didn’t rush us, accommodated our requests and added several touches to make the evening even more special. The food is amazing and so are the staff.

We’ve eaten here before a few times and this is the first time we felt the quality was not worth the price. The cold water lobster tail was fantastic, but the “1/2 lb” of king crab didn’t have a lot of meat nor was it fully cracked so we couldn’t get it all. Half that weight was shell, which just made it feel like we got even less. The steak frites were over cooked, also. The bottle of wine we chose turned sour by the end and wasn’t drinkable. Our server was attentive and cordial, and the bartenders were amazing, but overall it really didn’t feel like it was anywhere near worth what we paid.
