This was a birthday dinner for my husband and I called to make sure they knew. We had nothing on our table and there were other tables with Happy Birthday signs/cards. It was like they forgot and we also didn’t get our booth request and the waiter was terrible.

Outstanding food, a great wine list, impeccable service, and gorgeous decor made for an unbelievable experience. This was for a birthday celebration, and the dessert brought to us was delicious! We will return for other special occasions. Thank you for the experience.

The menu offers an excellent variety of foods and ours was great. We were seated at the exact type of table that I had requested through Open Table and our server, David, was excellent. Truluck’s made this a very special experience for my wife’s birthday and would recommend it to anyone for such a special occasion.

Apparently the menu prices have continued to go up like all restaurants have, however they have taken the chipotle model and removed value. Bread is too expensive to provide patrons now. So a group of 4 spends $300 plus and can’t get .25 of bread without paying. Eddie V still can provide bread somehow and keep the doors open. Go figure I don’t like being nickel and dimed at a high end place so they are off my list after years of being a patron What an embarrassment for a birthday event

Jason was our server and he was fantastic! First time visiting and the food was excellent and the service was wonderful! Jason was super knowledgeable about the menu and was super accommodating in customizing things for us. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we will definitely be back in the future (and requesting Jason).

The food was delicious and our server, Clint..very attentive. The decor is quiet and respectful..fresh flowers on the tables. Both the beverage and general managers came by to see how everything was and wish us a happy anniversary. We had two different salads, stone crab claw platter, and steak with creamed spinach and mushrooms. The restaurant surprised us with a beautiful flambé dessert. This is now on our list of favorite Austin restaurants.
