Truffle is a warm and charismatic Italian restaurant located in the heart of North Park. We offer classic yet contemporary cuisine.

We pair different kinds of fresh truffles with appetizers, pasta, steak, and even gelato. Our signature dish is the "Bistecca alla Fiorentina," a T-bone steak cut live and served table-side on a lava stone.

Wine is one of our restaurant's highlights. We have over 60 different wines and a sommelier on staff to decant big wines and open champagne with sabrage.

We also have a lovely dog-friendly patio and a private room with a table for 12 available for large parties and events.

The food was excellent and came out in a very timely manner. The wait staff was very kind, helpful, and attentive. Our server helped multiple people in my party with their wine selection and everything was brought to us very promptly! Overall great experience.

Excelente lugar, ubicacion perfecta para ir a caminar, el restaurant muy bonito y sobre todo porque éramos 9 personas y nos pasaron a una mesa muy amplia y con una decoracion de vinos y una chimenea que dieron el ambiente perfecto.

Just a horrible experience all around. Reserved an indoor table for just 2 people, but was sat outside with a broken heater. Waited over an hour for our food, but when we finally got it, not only was it cold and terrible, it was missing the added chicken. When we told the server, we didn’t want to wait any longer but just wanted to ensure it was taken off the bill. Then when the bill came around, they don’t even show you the itemized check until AFTER you pay. We didn’t finish the food and definitely did not want a to go box. Highly would not recommend this restaurant, there’s better pasta, pizza, and service anywhere else.

Rustic Italian style decor. Cozy tables for 2 along one wall, but we sat next to a table with a party of around 16 on opposite side of narrow room, making it noisier than average. Very nice presentations of entrees. Salmon was definitely over-cooked, so you’ll want to ask for it rare. Wines not well described, could use better descriptions in Wine menu. Was otherwise a pleasant dinner night out.

Tried many dishes with friends but only one stood out. The parmesan wheel truffle pasta. That's the only one I would go back for. Had a homeless guy enter the restaurant and start yelling but that is no one's fault. Seems like there's only one workers that takes the role of host/server/ bartender etc. So it takes time to get dishes, and bill.

Fun place. The food was ok. Party of four. Two people really liked their dishes and two thought theirs was not great. We had 4 different entrees. Noise level was fine but it was not crowded. Service was excellent and attentive

Very slow service and inattentive staff. Food was okay. Pasta was fantastic, steak cooked table side I could have made better at home. No full bar just beer and wine. Just average date night spot

Truffle Experience for $75 is a great deal! Was not impressed with the beef tartare, was questioning if the meat was bad as it tasted a little sour. Ceasar salad had two salads worth of dressing; I liked it but my friend had a hard time eating it. Truffle pasta was good and the chicken and mashed potatoes was ok (nothing special). Overall glad I checked this one off and tried it but will probably keep nearby Cardellino at the top of my list.

Ambience and food was nice. I liked the drinks I got but our waiter gave up on us. One of our friends said her dish was too salty and wanted to change and then after that he rarely came by. I could feel the other waiters wanted to help as it was obvious our waiter was missing for too long. The Hostess was my hero but our waiter alone is the reason we won’t be back.

I had a great dining experience at Truffle. This was my first time at this restaurant as well What I enjoyed about Truffle is the venue which includes an outdoor patio. My friend and I dined inside and I was amazed by the decor and design. Food and drinks were top notch. The happy hour menu + cheese wheel pasta were the highlight of our dinner. Ambiance was quiet although we had dinner when there were no guests. Overall a 10/10 experience.

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. We had a couple appetizers and salad before ordering some entrees. Every single item we ordered was nothing short of perfection. Amazing flavors. Our server, Stefano/Stephano, was very polite and very accommodating. He answered all of our questions and gave us some very good recommendations. 10/10 will be back.

So I love this restaurant. Always consistent and authentic. Give them a try and get the cheese wheel. It’s just a great experience.

First time here and we did restaurant week. Very cute place and nicely decorated. We found parking right away. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The place was not too busy because it was just 5 PM. We ordered & our first course came. We all enjoyed our selection. The main course came, and the two husbands had ordered the lobster ravioli. They said you couldn’t even tell there was lobster in it and the ravioli were so tiny you couldn’t tell they were ravioli. One said it tasted like fish. My friend ordered the carbonara, we were all expecting bacon, and it was more like pork fat. She ended up returning it, and they gave her the scallops which she loved. I had the penne with sausage and I thought mine was delicious. And we all enjoyed tiramisu at the end. It was a great value for $40.

Probably the worst dining experience I’ve had in San Diego. From beginning to end it was honestly an awful experience. Not only when we got there, they didn’t honor our reservation when we got there on time? They made us wait in line with everyone else who didn’t have a reservation and when we finally did sit down we ordered 3 appetizers and the last appetizer came about 30-40 minutes after the first two. As for our entrees pretty much right as the restaurant was pretty much closing is when we finally got our stuff after waiting AN HOUR AND A HALF? We pretty much boxed up all our food and left because we just wanted to get out of there. The truffle chicken dish they had was awful and the mashed potatoes tasted microwaved, the gluten free pasta seemed like it was fresh out a box you buy at the grocery store, servers were rude the whole time, got brought out WRONG pasta dish after waiting over an hour. Just horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Don’t waste your money.

This was our first time eating at Truffle. There are over a dozen Italian restaurants in the neighborhood, so we were skeptical that they would be better or different. We were surprised at the quality of the food; certainly unique and memorable. My partner had the gluten-free alfredo and it was spectacular. I had the truffle lasagna and it was very good, and rich, but ultimately one note. Now the negatives. Even though we made a reservation we were told we had to wait. We also had drinks off the cocktail menu and to be honest they left a lot to be desired. For $13-$18 for cocktails, we expect something better. Despite the issues, we enjoyed ourselves and will certainly be returning in the future.

Overall the food was pretty good. The cocktails and the wine selection were a little disappointing. I first ordered a martini but the waitress told me that they only have one kind of vodka and it's lower alcohol than normal. So I ordered an apron spritz instead that tasted very watered down. My husband had a mango mule that tasted like only mango pulp. The waitress was not very attentive. I can understand they were busy but even when she brought out our food she just put it on the table without asking if we wanted anything else. My husband had to go to the bar to ask her for a glass of wine. The wine list was also odd. It doesn't list the name of the wineries, only location , which is not very helpful. The tomato burrito appetizer and lobster ravioli dishes were very tasty and I would go back to try more food. But maybe we'll just bring our own bottle of wine and pay the corkage fee (when I called the person on the phone said she *thinks* it's $29 so who knows?) That way we know what we're getting and don't have to wait for our server to take our drink order since she never seemed to come back to the table. The drinks were not worth the price in my opinion but the food was well worth it.

Outstanding overall experience, I made a reservation here because it was close to the concert venue we were attending later that night. We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday and we were not disappointed. The ambiance, the food and service - top notch. We loved our food and service. Very romantic ambiance as well. Would highly recommend!

The service was on point even the chef came out and personally greet us and make sure our food is delivered on our table and ask us if everything is good and boy oh boy the pasta we had was delicious and we had the complimentary coccoli it’s fried dough with I think some balsamic vinaigrette glaze with prosciutto and maybe filled with some cream not sure if it’s mascarpone cheese and my drink I had strawberry mojito and it’s good and refreshing 5/12 star 👏🏾

The restaurant was out of two common dishes, one being the lasagna. Of course it was the one dish my friend really wanted. My dish was delicious; the truffle fettuccine with salmon. I started with the burrata caprese. That was also delicious. My dinner was complimented with a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc.

We went at 6 pm on Valentine's Day, and they were out of steak, and out of tiramisu. The menu they set for Valentine's was $55 a person, for sharing an appetizer, entre, and dessert. So, we opted to order individual entrees, because the logic of the Valentine's menu was very strange to charge $110 to share. They gave us what looked like croutons with butter, which was also weird. Their 'by glass" menu only listed varietals, but didn't name producers, which also bugged me. The food was just -OK. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, because I don't think they have it figured out. How in the world could you run out of all those items by 6pm? Just save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Our visit to Truffle left much to be desired. Despite reserving the "Truffle Experience" through OpenTable, we were disappointed to discover upon arrival on February 14th that only a Valentine's Day fixed menu was available. When we inquired about the Truffle Experience we had booked, our waiter informed us that the kitchen was exclusively offering the Valentine's menu for the day. Arriving for our reservation at 6 pm, we were dismayed to find that several items from the Valentine's menu were already sold out, significantly limiting our dining options. One would expect a restaurant named Truffle to excel in showcasing truffle-infused dishes. However, the presence of truffles in our plates was disappointingly minimal. Opting for additional truffles at an extra cost of $15 per plate did little to enhance the flavor or value, as only a scant amount of shaved truffles adorned my pasta. While it is possible that the shortcomings were exacerbated by the Valentine's Day rush, the service was noticeably sluggish, and the kitchen appeared overwhelmed and disorganized. Surprisingly, tables seated after us received their orders much quicker, further adding to our frustration. In a redeeming gesture, our server Ricardo displayed kindness by offering us a complimentary glass of wine to compensate for the inconvenience

Had the 3 course Valentine's Day menu for $55 pp. Lots of nice options (though there was a switch from the original menu options, which was a bit disappointing). The place was busy as it was a "holiday" - but staff did a great job, food was delicious.

Ambiance was good, service by Stefano was on point. He was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the cheese wheel special and a burrata salad. Salad was excellent, wine was great. Unfortunately, if this pasta special is a house favorite- don't go. The pasta was overcooked and very mushy. We were really disappointed. The other pasta dish was swimming in alfredo sauce that was way to runny and again the pasta noodles were very over cooked. The food came out so quickly, from the taste we figure they must cook the pasta ahead of time and then just reheat it/overcook it in the sauce. We live in little Italy area, so that will teach us to go out of the area for a pasta restaurant.

We went for the tomahawk steak special. Add said 42 ozand we ordered 7. Steaks were very small and 3 were served on one plate. All 3 looked like it was 42 oz all together. I feel like we got ripped off. We had a party of 15 and med raw steaks were ordered on opposite ends of the gathering and they brought out all 3 steaks on one hot plate so by the time we got our steak it was over cooked. Will never eat here again. Horrible rip off.

Probably too finicky, however outside of adding truffles to everything, this place was very average. The salad looked like it was from a grocery store, the artichokes out of a can with little added prep and generally a very bland meal.

We had a reservation and arrived on time but our seat was probably the worst one in the place. We were seating under the bar where all the dirty glasses were. A couple arrived 10 seconds before us and did not have a reservation and got a much better seat than us. I usually wouldn’t complain about that but it seemed unsanitary sitting with dirty glasses next to my head while eating.
