True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. It was pretty loud so I was overstimulated pretty quickly, however that was just the lunch rush so maybe go at an unpopular time if that bothers you. I felt so healthy eating my Mediterranean Wrap (it was just okay). I liked the prickly pear refresher (however all the refreshers and spritzers are quite bitter so be careful of that). The pepperoni pizza was really good as well!!

The cocktail glasses were not clean. Not a great start to the dining experience. The place was out of vodka and tequila too.

Food was amazing. I choose True food because I’m vegan and the rest of my family is not but we all appreciate healthy food and variety. The menu has so much variety there is something for everyone. I had the teriyaki mixed bowl and added the the smoked tempeh it was so delicious.

Price and quality of food is not equal! Has to have better fish options as well!

Spent Mother’s Day here with my daughter and nothing came out fresh or hot. We were frustrated as it was no better than luke warm cafeteria food. The appetizer was Fingerling potato’s which were not warm and tasted as though they had been prepared the day before. The bison sausage pizza was bland and again, not hot. Not even really warm at all. And instead of vegan ice cream for our dessert, they gave us whole milk ice cream which we are allergic to. The rest of our day was ruined. True Food has gone downhill.

Really enjoyed our Mother’s Day celebration brunch. The menu was confusing. For a 9:15am Sunday brunch, the only kids menu was a lunch/dinner menu. Would’ve expected something for kids especially given many kids would be there for Mother’s Day. The food rack on the menu wasn’t available instead the special food rack (more dessert than anything) was available. Despite those minor items, we really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.

There New Seasonal menu is out and it did not disappoint. True Food is always a step ahead of the competition with the seasonal menu options and keeping some of the best of previous seasons. Everything is fresh and prepared for the many dietary needs and allergies. They make wanting to eat healthy with exceptional flavor and presentation. I’m not aware of any other restaurant that can compare in any way, there the best at what they do.

We appreciate that this restaurant offers organic and grass fed items. We have visited several times and usually have a good experience. Once before we ordered grass fed steak and it was not good. We eat grass fed steak at home and this one at True Food was tough and lot of gristle. This last visit, we ordered the meatloaf which tasted very good. The only thing was that it was served warm but we would have liked it a little hotter. We ate on the patio which we like but the noise of the chairs scraping on the patio floor when the chairs are moved is very annoying.
