My waitress, who was a fellow mom of 3, made my day! It was a great way to have a mother's day meal (alone) ha! The food and beverage were amazing.

We waited an hour for our table which we had reserved. Then the food took forever for appetizers and they ran out some. I had to finally tell our server to please take our dinner order. I counted approximately 15 people waiting for sore dash orders and personal to go orders. This stressed out the entire staff who were waiting for food forever for their tables! Why on a holiday like Mother’s Day do you still allow this? Portions were so small compared to the prices . I’ve never been disappointed at this place & now we are done. The $17.25 sandwiches were literally half of what they were previous visits and with one side. The appetizers were skimpy also . Don’t waste your money to leave hungry. Too many choices In Avalon that are way better. I have pictures and I have times on my phone to prove how long everything took.

We went during mothers day weekend and it felt like they couldn't manage the volume of customers. Previous visits quality and service were far better than my most recent experience.

Usually True Food is really good… but on Mother’s Day it was really busy and the kitchen did not do a good job. The food wasn’t great and extremely slow. Waited forever for our food and then it wasn’t good.

My husband and I dined at True Kitchen on yesterday, Mother’s Day. Wonderful place, the food as always was amazing. Let me tell you about our server, Nicole. What an amazing young lady. Very attentive and friendly. Looking forward to dinner again soon.

The food here is always good quality however the calorie breakdown on the menu is completely erroneous. I had the big egg breakfast, which said it was 1100 cal on the menu, my estimates is probably 650 to 700 at the most. I’ve been weighing foods, anal proteins, vegan proteins on food scale, measuring carbs and fat intake for 15 years and I know my portions. My suggestion is to put a realistic calorie breakout on the menu as you may scare people away 1100 cal, however I was aiming to have this intake for breakfast and route to my 3500 cal for the day

We made reservations for 9 am for Mothers Day. We were the first people to be seated and they put us right by the kitchen! It was very noisy and we asked to be moved and they said they couldn’t move us because they were booked with other customers. The restaurant was half empty until 9:30 or later! We didn’t linger or have a great conversation because of the kitchen noise. It was disappointing to get the worst seat available even with a reservation. Our waitress was nice. The hostess was kind of rude. Love the food but not the experience.

I really like True Food, but the service and food is not what it used to be. The cocktails are pre made and are not worth the money.

I like the flavor profile but we asked for a medium cook on the burger and it came out well done. The strawberry crumble is quite dense. The place is spacious and service is good.

Service was wonderful and I would like to give a higher mark but I’m not sure if it’s the chef or a change to the menu. The ancient grains bowl I love with smoked tempeh was so spicy I couldn’t eat it. This is my favorite dish and I was very disappointed. I told our waiter and he agreed it had become more of a spicy dish lately.

We Had lunch around 12pm on a Friday. We were able to be seated right away. I ordered our favorite Edamame Dumplings- I ended up sending them back… one of the dumplings had filling and the others were over cooked noodles with no filling. Our server was very accommodating and super nice! We shared the Spicy Curry Bowl with forbidden rice and the loaded potato appetizer. They both were absolutely delicious!!!! Definitely will be back especially with the new happy hour - a bit more affordable. *I was a bit shocked 😳 at the price increase - especially the sandwiches.

Our server was great! However, when you are out of 3 menu items at 10:45 in the morning (and it did not seem that busy. Many empty tables)? DISAPPOINTING! In addition, to have made a reservation and then act surprised we are there on time, with no table for our party of 6? Also DISAPPOINTING!

Normally this is my favorite restaurant but the chef was new to making GF pizzas and he messed mine up. Our waitress charged me for two when I only had one. My husband and I didn’t even get to eat together bc we were waiting on my food to come out. It was disappointing to say the least.

My husband got the burrito bowl and it was really sour. I got ancient grains bowl, and the quinoa was crispy as if it had gotten burnt. The waitress was overwhelmed, and took a while to come back to our table to give us our food. We mentioned the food, poor quality to her, and the lady that had seated us. There didn’t seem to be much concern about our experience normally I don’t write reviews but I felt like this one needed to be told. I don’t think we’ll be visiting true food kitchen again.

Always a great lunch spot with friends. We all loved our meals. Turkey burger, seasonal salad with salmon. Chicken panini sandwich and glass noodles with shrimp!

While I understand what they are trying to do… some things really missed. Coffee is only available with oat milk and you should be told that before ordering (I thought my cream had gone off). I asked for a Bloody Mary and was told there only tomatoe water and c thankfully the staff told me to pass on that. Some jam for c the toast would kill anyone. There is healthy eating and then there’s austerity. I fear they are too close to austerity. Healthy for humans and the planet can be a mutual thing.

Tara was our server. My husband and son finished their meals and I was still eating. Tara came and cleared their plates. This was rude but okay. I continue eating my salad and while I'm eating Tara returns with the check. She can see I'm still eating. By this time it's so much pressure to either wolf down my food or to leave. We opted to leave. Just no common sense.

Our group enjoyed brunch at True Foods! Everything was tasty and served with excellence. The drinks were delicious my only disappointment was they were out of quiche! We’ll be back!
