True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. Our menu features food and drinks crafted with nutrient-dense ingredients and carefully sourced proteins from the world’s most responsible and sustainable growers, farmers and producers.     My waitress, who was a fellow mom of 3, made my day! It was a great way to have a mother's day meal (alone) ha! The food and beverage were amazing.

    We waited an hour for our table which we had reserved. Then the food took forever for appetizers and they ran out some. I had to finally tell our server to please take our dinner order. I counted approximately 15 people waiting for sore dash orders and personal to go orders. This stressed out the entire staff who were waiting for food forever for their tables! Why on a holiday like Mother’s Day do you still allow this? Portions were so small compared to the prices . I’ve never been disappointed at this place & now we are done. The $17.25 sandwiches were literally half of what they were previous visits and with one side. The appetizers were skimpy also . Don’t waste your money to leave hungry. Too many choices In Avalon that are way better. I have pictures and I have times on my phone to prove how long everything took.

    We went during mothers day weekend and it felt like they couldn't manage the volume of customers. Previous visits quality and service were far better than my most recent experience.

    Usually True Food is really good… but on Mother’s Day it was really busy and the kitchen did not do a good job. The food wasn’t great and extremely slow. Waited forever for our food and then it wasn’t good.

    My husband and I dined at True Kitchen on yesterday, Mother’s Day. Wonderful place, the food as always was amazing. Let me tell you about our server, Nicole. What an amazing young lady. Very attentive and friendly. Looking forward to dinner again soon.

    The food here is always good quality however the calorie breakdown on the menu is completely erroneous. I had the big egg breakfast, which said it was 1100 cal on the menu, my estimates is probably 650 to 700 at the most. I’ve been weighing foods, anal proteins, vegan proteins on food scale, measuring carbs and fat intake for 15 years and I know my portions. My suggestion is to put a realistic calorie breakout on the menu as you may scare people away 1100 cal, however I was aiming to have this intake for breakfast and route to my 3500 cal for the day

    We made reservations for 9 am for Mothers Day. We were the first people to be seated and they put us right by the kitchen! It was very noisy and we asked to be moved and they said they couldn’t move us because they were booked with other customers. The restaurant was half empty until 9:30 or later! We didn’t linger or have a great conversation because of the kitchen noise. It was disappointing to get the worst seat available even with a reservation. Our waitress was nice. The hostess was kind of rude. Love the food but not the experience.

    Same experience as my previous visit. Service was good but slow. Drinks & food were delicious. Lively atmosphere. Nice outdoor seating.
