True Chesapeake is a fine dining restaurant born of an oyster farm. Executive Chef Zack Mills creates a seasonal menu that showcases oysters from our far St. Jerome’s Creek, Southern Maryland — raw, roasted, and in signature dishes like Classic Rockefeller and Semolina Fried Oysters. But, the oysters are just the beginning. Our award winning menu celebrates the bounty of the Chesapeake region by using locally sourced seafood, meat, and produce to create exquisite dishes that evolve with the seasons. Chef Mills has been featured extensively for his use of invasive seafood species, a very delicious way to help the Chesapeake Bay. Don't forget to order the Blue Crab and Bone Marrow dip or handmade pasta. We have an expertly curated wine list, beer selection, and cocktails - both classic and creative. Ample bar, high-top, and terrace seating available for walk-ins on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Food was awesome as usual. Oyster lovers haven; Fried, roasted, broiled, and raw superb. Crab Mac and cheese lacked crab meat however, overall very tasty. . Asparagus was on point. Atmosphere good for groups or for two. Happy hour at both bars and high tables between 5:00-7:00pm. Will be back. Love the outside tables. Very pleasant.

Great oysters. Although it would be nice to enjoy Happy Hour without requiring seating at the bar or high top tables.

The setting is great, the service wonderful, and the food is very good, although maybe a little too adventurous for some. Overall, though, highly recommended!

Wow! What a find! Amazing experience in a stylish place with lots of buzz. Food is creative and excellent—ramp and nettle soup with morels is not something you’ll find at other restaurants. The cocktail list is extensive and innovative. We loved everything about True Chesapeake and will be returning with friends.

We had Mother's Day Brunch for our family there. Food was, as always, great. Mimosas and Bloody Marys were delicious and showy. The traditional breakfast items were supplemented by great dishes from the regular menu. The doughnut holes stole the show!

You definitely want to go there if you love fresh raw oysters. The Choptank oysters tasted like they were just pulled from the river. Don't waste your time on the blue crab and bone marrow dip, delicious but such a small amount for the price. I could barely taste the vodka in my Cosmo. Maybe I should have ordered one of their many specialty drinks. :-) Definitely go for the oysters and the ambiance.

Oysters were amazing and beautifully presented. My breakfast and my husband's was also great. My daughter's hamburger was over cooked though, which the server replaced. Liked the cupcake bar too. Also met one of the owners who came by to check on us; he was delightful. The inside is beautiful and lovingly restored. My daughter will be checking out their happy hour and patio in the near future. It was a nice Mothers Day for us all!

Great food, festive atmosphere & beautiful architecture. Our group enjoyed cocktails, soup, oysters, salads, scallops, rock fish, catfish & desserts. All entrees m were presented quite nicely!! Thank you!!!
