Trivet derives from the age-old cooking utensil - an iron tripod placed over fire to support a cooking pot or kettle - reflecting the warmth and balance which forms Head Chef Jonny Lake and Master Sommelier Isa Bal’s values for the restaurant, as well as their working relationship.

From the very beginning of the creative process, Jonny, Isa and the team think about how food and drink work together. The menu features their explorations of ingredients, dishes and drinks from around the world, inspired by the culinary history and diversity around us. The wine list is set out chronologically, following the historic beginnings of wine to present day, with over 350 wines from classic producers to the New World, as well as acknowledging the root of viti-vinoculture with wines from Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.

As well as the welcoming main dining room, Trivet has a terrace, wine bar and private dining space. Monday nights transform into the LaBombe Wine Bar.

For events in house, Trivet offers tailored set menus for formal and casual seated dining, standing snacks and canapés, paired dinners for wine events and special in-house events such as chef collaborations and Canadian Thanksgiving! Jonny, Isa and the team can also offer off-site catering upon request.

Trivet can offer a variety of event experiences, for up to 30 guests seated in the private dining room (the 'Mustard Room'), or around 50 guests seated in the main dining space as a whole venue hire. The whole restaurant, with bar and terrace included, is a flexible and dynamic space, ready for meetings, tastings, celebrations and more.

Mondays at Labombe Wine Bar

We are now open for a very different Trivet experience, fully realising our Wine Bar potential on the most (we think unfairly) moaned-about day of the week! We would love to welcome you on Mondays from 5pm-11pm for drinks, with a special menu available to order between 5pm and 9.30pm, to help you ease into the working week (or enjoy your day off if you’re a fellow hospitality worker). The full Trivet wine list will of course be available to explore, as will our cocktails and other drink options, including some incredible wines by the glass. Online bookings can be made for parties of up to 6 guests. LRF - A Taste of Trivet at Lunch

As part of OpenTable's London Restaurant Festival 2024, enjoy our Hot Tongue Bun (a Trivet classic of braised Wagyu-Angus ox tongue on toasted brioche bun, with anchovy mayonnaise, blackcurrant mostarda and pickles) with home-made fries and a glass of wine for just £30 (plus service) per person. Please note: this set menu is available for individuals within a group, as well as whole parties; just in case not everyone would like to participate. If you do not wish to enjoy this menu during your visit, simply select a Regular Booking; we will be running our usual service too!
Canada Day at Labombe Wine Bar

It's Canada Day! In honour of our very own Jonny Lake's glorious heritage, we are hosting a very special Labombe wine bar to celebrate this on Monday 1st July. We'll be open as usual from 5pm-11pm for drinks, with a Canadian-inspired Labombe-style menu available to order between 5pm and 9.30pm, including Jonny's best poutine, lobster rolls, butter tarts and many, many other options... The full Trivet wine list will of course be available to explore, as well as some incredible Canadian wines by the glass. Online bookings can be made for parties of up to 6 guests. Excellent setting and service. Good atmosphere. Ended up being £200 per head. Food was very good but I would have expected great at that cost.

A note perfect meal. Each dish was well thought out and prepared to perfection. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable but not intrusive. A very interesting and broad wine menu. Looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing food, perfectly balanced, starter and main both had amazing deep, umami rich sauces. Great pairing suggestions from the sommelier and friendly, attentive service. I was dining alone, and felt very well looked after.

It was just ok. We are big fans of the “wine bar” with small plates concepts but this did not feel well executed. The menu did not seem well thought out for the bar seating, the wine by the glass menu seemed quite limited and we were not offered the look into the bigger wine book as other tables. I would not recommend going here if you’re looking for a casual dinner as the ambiance is quite stuffy and you don’t feel comfortable in the seating of the bar to eat. This was not for us but I can see this being popular if you just want some small (acceptable) plates in a quiet place, which I admit is difficult to find in the area. Food itself is not competitive nor special for the area.
