Trani’s Dockside, is a new waterside restaurant launched by one of the port town’s best known restaurant families. The restaurant was able to hold a soft grand opening on May 16, the 98th anniversary of the opening of the original Trani’s Majestic Cafe that opened in 1925 in downtown San Pedro.

We ordered the new style calamari and the tuna on toast. Both were very good especially the calamari. Our friends had the clam chowder which they said was excellent. The halibut was delicious. Everything was very fresh and came in a timely manner. There were non fish items on the menu too but we did not try them. I definitely would recommend this restaurant.

I love this place! Great music on Thursdays and everything I’ve ordered has been delicious! I had oysters and the slab salad during this visit. The oysters were fresh and delicious, as was the salad. One of my friends had the halibut and the other had the Parmesan chicken, both raved about the tastiness of their food! We will definitely be returning!

Great food, service, ambiance! They made my mom's birthday special by greeting her with a handwritten greeting card, all staff wishing her a happy birthday and free dessert with candle!

The meal was delicious beyond anything we were expecting. We arranged in ages from 11 years old to 55 and everyone was delighted with their meal. Our food was phenomenal. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and sold the menu in a way that made you want to try things without any pressure whatsoever. Every employee passed us, offered a smile and checked in with us and some sort of meaningful, but not intrusive way. This place is going to get very popular very fast. We can’t wait to bring other friends back soon.

Love the place. I do believe it’s expensive, but mostly worth it. My only little complaint is that the grilled bread was very oily. It could use less olive oil on the grill in my opinion. Only reason that I didn’t give it a five.

Our party of five, two of whom are foodies visiting from New York, had a fabulous experience at Trani's Dockside. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable; the cocktails, appetizers and meals were all excellent. We couldn't have chosen a better restaurant for our celebration. (And with all the great options in Pedro, that's saying a lot!)
