Trani’s Dockside, is a new waterside restaurant launched by one of the port town’s best known restaurant families. The restaurant was able to hold a soft grand opening on May 16, the 98th anniversary of the opening of the original Trani’s Majestic Cafe that opened in 1925 in downtown San Pedro.

Love the place. I do believe it’s expensive, but mostly worth it. My only little complaint is that the grilled bread was very oily. It could use less olive oil on the grill in my opinion. Only reason that I didn’t give it a five.

Our party of five, two of whom are foodies visiting from New York, had a fabulous experience at Trani's Dockside. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable; the cocktails, appetizers and meals were all excellent. We couldn't have chosen a better restaurant for our celebration. (And with all the great options in Pedro, that's saying a lot!)

I had the swordfish it was lovely. Love the ambience and good music, not too loud it’s such a nice atmosphere

The hostess was so cheery and welcoming. Great atmosphere! Eleanor, our waitress, was amazing. Kudos to the chefs. So nice they recognized my husband's birthday with a card and a dessert. Definitely will be one of our favorite hot spots!

The food was great! My husband ordered the Tomahawk pork chop, it melted in your mouth. Cooked to perfection! We also ordered a side of broccolini that was uniquely prepared, and delicious! I ordered the Romaine salad that was so fresh it tasted like it was just picked from the garden. For my entree I ordered the calamari and clam linguine- it was good but just a bit dry.

Food was great, service prompt. Very loud initially as we were surrounded by large tables. A/C was freezing but server graciously turned it down . Love the food

Trani’s is always amazing. The service, the ambiance and the food. Incredible. Chef Dustin deserves a Michelin star.
