Service was awful. Our server stayed completely confused the entire time. It took 30 minutes to get drinks, appetizers came out after entrees, sides came out before entrees, and the checks were brought out incorrectly. Management provided very little support.

I made the reservation through open table for Mother's Day. I looked at the menu for brunch and checked the website to ensure there wasn't a special buffet brunch. Then I called the restaurant and left a message wanting to confirm there was no buffet for Mother's Day. What did they do, they created a buffet for Mother's Day and charged about $100 a person with tax and gratuity included. I talked to the management and they just said sorry, but they aren't responsible for any of their marketing.

I went here to celebrate Mother's Day and the overall experience was good but it was a pretty average buffet. A buffet that was way over priced. On top of that there was a hefty service charge with an added line asking for additional tip. Given that this restaurant is attached to a hotel is maybe why there was an additional "service chg" but I was a bit shocked when I received the bill. The bill was $300.10 for just 3 of us. (3 buffets & 2 mimosas). Service was fair, meaning that the wait staff refilled my coffee and water. It's my fault for not being prepared with knowing what this was going to cost me in the end.

I booked reservation for 50th birthday months ahead. The hostess was so rude and didn’t greet us and ignored me when I told her I had reservations. She just said for two, and I said yes I have a reservation and she replied “uh huh” this way. We were seated without a view of the lake and when I asked her she said we don’t have any and I asked if we could sit outside then and she replied they aren’t seating outside, yet 20 min into our visit she starts seating the tables outside. She never asked for my name for my reservation and my fiancés special birthday dinner was completely overlooked. The food was extremely bland over cooked vegetables with the crispy chicken. The crab cakes were the size of a half dollar and mostly breading. We drive 5 hours to stay at this resort and I couldn’t believe this was the birthday dinner I had planned. No offer for a dessert or anything. We were just asked if we wanted to charge the extremely overpriced, bland, small food to our room. This place did not live up to its hype at all and hostess needs to be better trained.

This restaurant is at the Lakeway Resort, on the lake, so it is off the beaten path and requires a little a drive unless you live, or are staying, in Lakeway. It has a bit of a view, but not great. TR Restaurant is not well marked, and neither is the parking area, which is not visible from the front of the restaurant. However, the service and food is great! There were three in our party for a birthday celebration. One had the New York Strip Steak, which was ordered rare, and actually was cooked rare! One ordered the Salmon and remarked that it was probably the best they had ever had. I ordered the Ribs, which were boneless, tender, and moist - almost like a roast. In addition, they served the Birthday Boy a complimentary piece of flourless chocolate cake that was fudgey and wonderful. The prices were more reasonable than most of the comparable restaurants in town, although the menu is more limited. We will definitely be back.

Visited the restaurant while we were staying at the resort that is connected to it. The atmosphere was great, but the food was not so good. Not fresh at all not tasty. If the chel could improve the food quality this place could be at least a 4

It was connected to our hotel so very convenient but it was a bit chilly in the sunset room. The portions are quite large and could have be shared. Amazing charcuterie board included a honeycomb pomegranate seeds and a wonderful goat cheese. It’s strange bec the hotel doesn’t even advertise its there.

The food is very over priced for what it is, and a cocktail for $16 is wild. The short rib was dry, the steak was ok - very under seasoned. The wings were good and the burger was ok, under seasoned as well. We ate here for dinner and lunch once. Helmar, our servicer was great. The atmosphere was weird and boring but it is off season so that may be why. I wouldn’t go back.

We selected the restaurant based on our review of the on line menu. When we arrived on Christmas day they said the menu was changed at the last minute and we could only eat a fixed meal - No options. The price was fixed at $75 a person . We walked out. Very disappointed as it spoiled our Christmas day and we will never eat there again.

Very disappointed in the buffet for the Christmas Boat Parade. First not told it was a buffet when I called for reservations. Communication was poor when we arrived, told there was a Buffet or you could order on menu…well only the $40 buffet. They offered nothing really special or exciting, baked salmon or chicken on the so called buffet. The food was lukewarm to cold…. mini crab cakes cold, stuffed mushrooms cold, salmon cool, veggies cool. Grandson could not even eat the French fries. Thought the dessert would be good until there was a long hair in mine. To top it off there was a 15% service charge hidden in the bill and asking for gratuity as well when you served yourself. With a bill of $200 for 3 people and 2 drinks (glass of wine and a beer) we will NOT be frequenting this restaurant again. We understand now why very few partook in the buffet and very few people in the restaurant on a Saturday night with a Christmas Boat Parade right out the windows

There is a sofa with its back to the fireplace. Supposedly a remodel is about to take place but it was not welcoming at all; we felt as though waiting on us was an afterthought. The atmosphere of the bar is much more happy. Hope the remodeling goes well and that you use the fireplace and certainly don't back any furniture up to it! Food was pretty good but not outstanding.

My wife and I went there for our first time on a “date night. “. We sat outside at TR’s on a quiet patio with lake and pool views. Service was prompt and friendly. Our shrimp appetizer plate was quite good. There were multiple salad choices. The wine and cocktail list offered many options with good wine and price selections. Our steaks were extremely tender and delicious. The German chocolate torte was very good as well. Overall we were favorably impressed.

Very disappointed Made reservations based on menu and locality to the high dollar hotel/spa. Spend $600 on a room As we walk to our reservation at restaurant, we are told - Buffett only tonight. 3 choices that I never would order at a restaurant. Total joke.

Restaurant and service was phenomenal, however, a guest with a service animal was also dining. Each time the pet shook, we could see the fur floating all around. Other than this, great experience!

Buffet was average and overpriced for what you get. Food was cold and chicken was dry. Bar was slow and service staff tried their best to keep them on their toes. This restaurant has potential but they are yet to achieve it.

Very dated, chairs are worn and wobbly. Carpet is worn but clean and with no rips/tears. Staff is courteous, polite and usually quite attentive. Food, well it is nothing special but it is not bad. We stayed at the resort two nights so we ate there for all but two lunches. At least one person had to have steak returned each night, asked for rare and got well done. If it gets crowded, well not enough staff to handle the tables so service slows quickly. Beware of the bill and how you tip. The resort automatically includes a 17% gratuity on everything, then you are led to believe an additional tip is acceptable. You basically would be tipping your tip. Not the restaurants fault, that is the resort!

Fortunately I visited the restaurant in the 1980's when the main dining area overlooked the, at that time, beautiful and swollen Lake Travis. It was the most awesome view and it made such an impact that over the years, that memory brought me back. Unfortunately, the view has changed and you can barely see what's left of the shrinking Lake. It appears the life has been sucked out of the lake and the restaurant view as well. Sometimes change is not so good.

The food was overpriced for nothing. No taste or flavor on either the chicken or salmon. The rice that accompanied the meal was sticky and clumpy. Even the presentation of food was sub par at best. One of the worst meals i ever ate, that was $130 wasted down the drain.

TR Restaurant was an amazing experience for our anniversary. The food and drinks were delicious. The setting was very fancy and quiet and they even brought us a happy anniversary dessert. It was a little pricey but perfect for special occasions. If we are in the area again looking to spend some extra money we would definitely go there again.

Could not be more disappointed. The food was borderline inedible. I can forgo the decor needing a facelift as long as the food is decent. We ordered the fish and both my daughter and I could not eat it. It was disgusting. They are very very slow, it took over an hour just to get our food. If you stay at Lakeway, make sure you have a car so you can leave the resort for dinner. I will say breakfast buffet was decent. Standard Buffett items but no complaints.

The limited menu was such a letdown and the prices were obnoxious for the portions they gave. The waiter was kind but the food was below average and way too pricey. Would expect better food from a nice resort but definitely not eating here again.

My wife and I visited as guests of the resort. Menu was pretty limited, but there were options on there we did enjoy. Pricing was typical of a resort, priced for convenience. Food was pretty good, service was excellent to save a 4th star. I’m glad we went one evening during our stay but wouldn’t visit if we weren’t staying at the resort.

The resort is beautiful but this restaurant is terrible - ambiance is horrible it’s like being in a 70’s Denny’s with bright lights. The food is WAY overpriced - we paid $58 for a filet which had no flavor - mashed potatoes seemed out of a box- mushroom soup was terrible and Luke warm. It has so much potential to be so much more - definitely needs an overhaul for ambiance and flavor

This is a quiet and easy going place to meet up with friends. The lake is low but you still get a nice view. The sliders were excellent. The scallops also tasted quite good.

Buffet had many delicious items I still believe it was missing quite a few key items. Especially for the $40 price tag. We waited at the hostess stage a few minutes before we ever saw an employee. Hardly saw our waiter after we were seated. There were nice views though.

I was disappointed. Waiter didn't know menu nor components (like what is an aioli?.) Expected more... on a Monday night. (Just s few tables)

We will definitely visit your restaurant again. Our server, Khan, was excellent, friendly and was able to answer all of our questions.

Waiter was amazing. Food (brunch) was delicious. Extra special touch with a birthday surprise. Service was great.

When we arrived our table had not been reserved. The egg sandwich was delicious and a fair price. However, twelve dollars for a mimosa was a bit unreasonable. The french toast was not worth the price.

The overall experience was a good one. Tge service was excellent. The food preparations could have been better. We went closer to closing so not sure if that resulted in the food the way it it was.

I found the view lacking. Service was excellent. I found the prices a bit for the quality of food. I would not be able to recommend this restaurant.
