Welcome to Tower 12
Tower 12 is a beach-town casual kitchen and bar located in Hermosa Beach, California. The concept honors the local South Bay community, incorporating vintage artifacts, furnishings and artwork that reflect its laidback surf, music and beach culture and history. Created by distinguished chef Brendan Collins, the menu offers California-inspired, updated spins on American classics including shareable bar bites, wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, salads and entrees. In addition to the food program, Tower 12 houses two full-service bars specializing in handcrafted cocktails, wine and 30 local brews on tap. Located on a second story deck with beautiful ocean views, Tower 12 features a wraparound, wooden outdoor balcony and interconnected rooms that feel more like a kickback for friends than a public space.

We were seated on the bottom floor by the entrance and felt the service was very slow down there. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks from when we sat down. We never got the appetizer plates we asked for, but the food was all pretty good except The kids Mac and cheese -was overcooked and bland. Overall we had more patience since it was Mother’s Day , and we would give this place another try.

Made a reservation far in advance for my birthday and put that in my notes. It was also Mother's Day. When we got there we were told our only seating option was the fireplace bar despite there being two booths and multiple tables open but "reserved." What was my reservation for...Our server was far from friendly, did not check on us and we had to ask bus boys for refills on water, etc. Food was cold and incredibly mediocre. My sister asked if they could do anything special for my birthday and she quickly said "no sorry." And walked away. Will not be returning here and not a nice way to kick off my birthday.

Great atmosphere near pier. Nice indoor outdoor seating. Food was fantastic along with drinks. Great way to entertain friends from out of town.

We arrived with a reservation and were shown seats at a bar (4 in a row) overlooking the strada. Since we were visiting with family and wanted to be able to talk and hear each other, we asked for a table and waited only a few minutes before they were able to seat us at a high table. There were several TV's on and NFL football games were playing. The place was packed and very loud! There were a lot of fans cheering and there was a lot of energy (and people)! Service was excellent! Our wait staff was very attentive and our food was served quickly. Food was good!

Their reservation system in the restaurant is not connected to open table, so they had no record of my reservation when I arrived.

The host was rude to us and didn’t honor our reservation. My friend drove an hour to meet me and we we’re stuck at the end of a bar in the direct sun. Not exactly the experience we were going for.

When I arrived for my reservation at Tower 12, the hostess could not find my reservation. She asked me if I booked it on Open Table, then told me they never look at reservations that come through Open Table.

It’s a happening place , very loud, but that’s what you should expect at a bar / restaurant. Pizza came out cold and so did the fries 😞Pretzel is amazing, definitely a shareable . Salads were very good . Service was definitely a 10.

Service was on-point. Kylie was always checking in, but not too much. We never had an empty water or beer glass. Food was great, especially for an ultra popular spot for the twenty-somethings (only later at night, not at all from 5- 8 PM when we were there). I will hold other business meetings here for sure.

Aside from the glitchy open table system. (Only shows 12am, nothing at 12pm), this place is outstanding. I will be back!

We had a great time for dinner. Delicious and unique flavors. Adult beverages on point. Prices lower than average for a beach front restaurant. Attentive servers. Looking forward to trying this place for Sunday brunch.

Don’t expect your reservations to be held if you make them on open table. They don’t prioritize them and won’t honor them if the restaurant is busy.

Tower 12 is one of the best. They always have great service, attentive staff, and great eats. From pizza to brisket, they knock it out the park. Grace, Will, Adrian, Brady, and the entire team have always been great to myself and anyone I bring here. Tower 12 is an amazing restaurant during the day with a friendly surfer vibe in vibrant Hermosa Beach. At night, it becomes an amazing bar. There’s always something going on with an amazing live music or banging DJs. Karaoke night on Thursdays is not to be missed! I can’t rate this place high enough. If you’ve read this entire review, just put the phone down and go!

Fun place on the Hermosa Beach Pier to people watch. Great outdoor dining with lots of heaters. Food was excellent, staff was friendly, great cocktails. Highly recommend for any occasion.

This place is not kid friendly even though their website makes it appear they are. Food was marginal, Service was terrible. No drink refills, hostesses too busy chit chatting. I would not recommend, unfortunately.

I made reservations for a colleague and I for lunch. We went there the sign said seat yourself so we did at the only table upstairs that didn’t have dirty dishes and half eaten food on. We waited for a while no one ever came and we left…horrible experience will not return.

Great location on the strand but it’s very loud and everything seems dirty such as the floor and the tables (sticky). It needs a major updating in terms of decor. Food is poor to fair.

Something very gross floating in my beer and they didn't comp for it. The main course came out right after the appetizer. Waiter said there were two deserts on the menu and came back and said neither were available. The only dessert was a soft serve ice cream cone. Waiter seemed stoned. Food was good.

Great menu, bar, location and vibe. A really cool place. Get there early to secure a seat on the balcony overlooking the Pier.

Amazing waitress! Made the dinner enjoyable and warm and friendly. She was super busy but very attentive, not overwhelming and always had a smile on her face. Food was cold and tuna was not very fresh. We didn’t complain because she was outstanding.
