Four strangers walk into a bar. and 30 years later they open a restaurant 30 years ago, four people working in the hospitality industry met in a bar on Toulouse Street in the great city of New Orleans. Over time they became friends and when the first one, Jon, moved away, he stated, "our paths will cross again." Sure enough, over the next three decades, they worked together and apart in establishments across the United States, including San Francisco, Telluride, Chicago, New York, Washington DC and of course The Big Easy. When COVID hit an opportunity presented itself and Toulouse was born. Using local, sustainable ingredients, we produce our spin on New Orleans food, in the type of place where tourists feel at home, locals are at home, and everyone is surrounded by family and friends.

Very much enjoyed our dinner. Very nice property. Our server was very attentive. W had the blacken salmon and shrimp and grits. Very Cajun authentic.

Our first time at Toulouse; 2 out of 5 entrees were delivered wrong, inattentive server, screaming children, what’s not to love?

We went on Mothers Day and found the service to be excellent. I had the blackened salmon which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the three piggies omelette with potatoes and said it was the best omelette he had ever eaten. Prices were reasonable too. WE WILL BE BACK. 🌹

Booking reservation same day was easy. Had the place to ourselves. Beautiful indoor and outdoor area, with scenery to enjoy. Our waitress Valencia was kind and most attentive. Not to mention every meal was divine! Wish we could have stayed for dessert— no matter, because we’ll certainly be back. 5 stars all around.

Can’t write a review on Toulouse, don’t even want to give them 1 star as even though we had a reservation, they were closed when we arrived. There was someone setting up tables, who immediately hid behind a wall when he saw us. I knocked on the window, I could see him, but he just stepped back & hid again. Didn’t even bother to apologise & say they weren’t going to open. Shocking!
