When I got there, I was told they would call me when a table becomes available, but when I made the reservation, they wanted me to leave a credit card so the could charge it if I was late or didn’t show up, then the flashlight cop wanted to check my wristlet as if I was bringing in a gun or knife. I’m like damn what y’all gang banging on bacon then to mention bacon when I ordered my food, I got a skillet and the bacon was undercooked. And the cheap liquor that they made the drinks with upset my stomach not to mention difficulty with parking. I definitely won’t be back.

This was the second time I went to Toast It IZ the first time was on a weekend and I didn’t like the experience this time was on a Tuesday and I had a much better experience. We were seated right away at my appointed reservation time, they didn’t have a DJ so the music was not loud which made it easier to talk. The food is delicious. My recommendation is to go on a weekday the experience is much nicer than the weekend.

Place was nice and music was top notch. Food was mediocre and drinks were also basic. Nothing really spectacular. Overall rating 7/10, definitely not a place I'll say I come back to.

My family and I had an wonderful timeee!!! It was mom and aunt birthday. They had a ball and was embraced with so much love from other ppl in there!

Our waiter was phenomenal for it to be a larger party. It was 14 of us and she didn’t miss a beat.

Our reservation was for 12:30pm and we were not seated until 1:00pm. The salmon croquette was tasty but too small for $15 they were the size of a quarter and I am not joking. The side order of grits were awful my 12 year old niece make better grits than that. I believe it was Quaker oats grits. The peach cobbler French toast was delicious! The music was too loud for brunch you can hardly hear each other talk. Overall the place is nice enough but considering all the wonderful brunch places that Chicago has to offer they are going to have to step up their game if they want to stay relevant otherwise it will be another trendy place where two years from now it will fade away.

The music was so loud that I couldn’t hear my friend or the waiter talk to me. He literally had to bend down and yell in my ear. My reservation was at 1:45 and I wasn’t seated until 2:30. The waiter was rude as well and ask for a tip even though a 18% gratuity charge was added and it literally was 2 of us. Make matters worse I ask for fruit with or on my waffles they wanted me to pay an extra 8 dollars for a fruit salad and 2 dollars extra for strawberry syrup. Food wise it was okay but I ordered waffle sliders they were good but then again it was just waffles eggs and bacon who can mess that up.
