We have been to TJ’s several times and love introducing friends to it. This was the first negative experience we have had. We waited for at least 15 min at the bar for someone to acknowledge us. Tried several times to flag someone down but they just wouldn’t even make eye contact with any of the 4 of us at the bar. It wasn’t that busy. Maybe they were understaffed but for our group, we’ve seen better service with a lot more people than were there that evening. The only other thing was the Delmonico steak. We get it every time we come. This time, I don’t know what happened with the cut of meat but it was hard, tough, rubbery and we didn’t eat it. I thought it was maybe just the end of it that wasn’t the best but we brought the leftovers home, and I wish we wouldn’t have and just said something at the restaurant. It was a terrible cut of meat. Highly unusual for Tjs. Maybe it was a fluke but, I don’t know when we will order that cut of steak from them again. It’s very pricey and I e know they are better than that. Will be back, but we will be mentioning this experience.

My friend and I took advantage of a prix fixe dinner. She had been there before and said it was probably the best restaurant in Oshkosh. We were seated right away, the interior is all plaid for the Scottish Highlands. It's OK, not sure how that fits in Oshkosh, but I guess it means something to the chef. The drink orders took much too long. The restaurant didn't seem that busy, and it took at least 20 minutes for 2 margaritas. Later, when a 2nd was ordered, it took even longer. The waitress was great, very friendly, knowledgeable, and ready with answers. The food was good, not the best I've ever had. Caesar salad was a bit bland, not made with anchovies and very little garlic. The stuffed walleye was excellent, definitely would have that again. The balsamic cherries on the cheesecake were also delicious. Overall, I give 4 of 5 stars. I'm glad I was there on a discount night, as I'm not sure I would have been happy paying full price. Still, I would go back again.

The service was outstanding from the bartenders to our server, we were taken care of very well. The steaks, mac and cheese, crab cake and brussels were delicious. Atmosphere and view were great as well.

The facility is wonderful and the waiter was great but the food didn't live up to what we have come to expect there. All four of our group felt the food was okay but that wasn't what you expect for the price we paid. This was our first experience with their brunch. We have been there for dinners and other events and were completely satisfied so we will definitely be back but probably not for brunch.

It is hard to find a place these days with such good service, high quality of food, and a relaxing atmosphere. These are the reasons we keep coming back to TJ Highlands for dinners and special events.

The place was fairly empty when we were there. Our waiter was very strange and socially awkward. Very attentive and good at his job but it felt awkward every time we conversed with him. Food was OK at best and overpriced. One of the other people at my table and I ordered the same thing and they looked completely different as far as quality of the steaks. He didn’t eat half of his meal. Other guests at our table had the Seabass and it was amazing. Bacon appetizer was burned and overall meh. It was nice to try something new, but we probably won’t go back

Great atmosphere, great drinks. Ribeye seemed to be overpriced for the quality though, the pellicle was rough, dry inside. Maybe just a bad cut.
