An excellent little place. Lovely atmosphere with excellent food and good wine. I would recommend to everyone. The small plates are wonderful and tasty.

It’s our third or fourth time here and as ever, the food is great and the service really good and Very friendly. Nothing too much trouble even though we messed about with the various parts of the breakfast menu. This is near my husband‘s work but an hour and a half from where we live so sadly when he retires quite soon we’re unlikely to be over so much. Wish there was a tipples near Macclesfield!

Booked Tipple’s for breakfast before heading to Aintree for the races (Grand National Day). Whole experience was very good, service friendly and attentive and breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend and would definitely return if in the area again (we were visiting from the Midlands)

It was Good Friday and very busy. Food was really good but we ordered extra drinks which never arrived - we had booked and most tables were reserved but I think they were seating too many walk ins outside and staff were just too busy!

Such a disappointing meal for me and my family! We had booked in here for an early Mother’s Day celebration as my parents are away next weekend. It took 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive and 45 minutes for food. When the food did turn up we had to wait 15 minutes for cutlery then two lots turned up at the same time. The food was so basic for the price and looked like it had been thrown on the plate. We then had to request to order more drinks three times whilst we were eating. When we asked for the bill it was wrong. The price on the menu for the salt and pepper chicken wrap is stated at £12.45, we were charged £16.45; resulting in being overcharged by £12. The staff were all pleasant and corrected any issues but we came away from what should have been a lovely family meal feeling disappointed and overcharged. Sad to say we won’t be back.

Hi Jess, Thank you for your review, we really appreciate the feedback and points to improve upon. As our food is freshly prepared, unfortunately, during busy weekend periods it is sometimes unavoidable to experience a delay. However, as the times you have stated are significantly higher than we would expect we have conducted and in-house investigation and checked the CCTV. This showed the wait for drinks to be 15 minutes and the food 25 minutes from the point of order. We sincerely apologise for the mistake on the bill and thank you for bringing this to our attention at the time so it could be rectified straight away without you being overcharged. Really saddened to write this review as Iv always been a fan of Tipple. Me and my family have been coming for years but have seen a decline these past few months. Ordered drinks that never came, but still itemised on the bill. Food was stone cold. And the service wasn’t its best. Now I no that it was busy so understandable that service can take its toll but still I feel for the price you pay for food… it just doesn’t feel good. I won’t be back for food that’s for sure. I’m not one for complaining as Iv worked in the hospitality industry for years… but feel the need to highlight the above.

Fabulous selection of food choices .....varied dishes catering to everyone. Served with style and every dish was divine. Staff are very friendly and courteous....service 1st class. Beautiful interior and wonderful place to meet up with family or friends . Never disappointed...always excel.....nothing compares to Tipples...wouldn't go anywhere else.

We had a table booked for early morning and unusually were greeted by quite a grumpy male server. I felt as if we’d done something wrong. His manner was more friendly after he’d served us food.

There was a problem with our booked table so we had to wait 10 mins whilst they sorted it. We then waited ages for drinks & food order to be taken. Could have been because it was busy and half term. We normally meet during a lunch break and if that had been the case today we wouldn’t have had food in time. Not the usual standard I’ve come to expect.

Lovely meal out, and new menu is great, lots of choice. The only issue was we ordered gin and tonics and on both occasions we received gin and soda water. However this was changed immediately and the staff were very apologetic. It was only a minor thing as it was changed straight away. Would definitely return.

Food wasn't hot and the portions were poor value for money. I've been numerous times for coffee and drinks and its great for that - although service is generally slow

I visited Tipple with my friend, for breakfast. I have eaten here on numerous occasions before and I’ve always found the food good. Unfortunately, on this occasion, my friend’s breakfast and mine were both quite cold! The cafe was quite busy, so maybe they were short staffed. It was clear our food had been ‘sat’ around for several minutes, before being brought to our table. This was sad, because the food was actually nicely presented, on our plates, so the chefs had obviously done their job right, but the serving staff just need to be a lot quicker getting food out to the tables. I managed to eat my breakfast , but sadly my friend left 2/3 of hers, which was such a shame.

Been to tipple a handful of times now and always had a pleasant time. Food and drinks are great value for money, a great place to dine with family and friends or to have a nice chilled drink. Can be a little noisy at times but natural as its a popular place and you are still able to talk to each other. Had to wait a tiny bit to receive menus at the beginning, but was understandable as was a busy morning and my friend and I were busy chatting away anyway, so didn't bother us!
