Cathy Ortega & Gerald Aquintey didn't know what to expect after finally opening up a Filipino small grocery & takeout joint together. The shop was doing great but they wanted to do more. They wanted to give Toronto a much more authentic Filipino taste and experience without the price of a flight to the Philippines. Kamayan / Boodle Fight (the formality of eating with your hands) was the obvious solution.

Fantastic! My absolute fav when it comes to Kamayan. Staff members are quite accommodating to my request. Price is quite reasonable and the quality of food is fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

I was craving for a Filipino food. Tinuno did not disappoint. Quick service and delicious food.

You can’t go wrong with Tinuno! It’s a nice and quiet mom-and-pop shop that serves delicious Filipino cuisine. I would come back here simply for the Kamayan meal experience, which is of great value. I’ve only dined in at Tinuno twice; once before and once after the pandemic at the Howard location. The food quality is still top-notch after all these years. I’ll have to try their Bathurst location sometime in the near future!

It's my second time going my first time was during the pandemic it was quiet because of few people. When we arrived there it was very busy and we had to wait for a few minutes I even called a crew to confirm our booking. I was just surprised that the milkfish was quite dry. That's my only concern and it was too crowded when we went there so it's very noisy. I booked for two people but the crew still asked if I booked for two people and it was just weird because we were the only people waiting there I even let them see the email confirmation of my booking. Wish they could be more friendly and the fish please make more juicy. But for sure I will recommend Tinuno and I will be back 😋
