The concept behind our award-winning dining experience can be described as “American Nouveau" cuisine that borrows cooking traditions and techniques from all around the world to create something new and exciting.

Through its breathtaking architecture and innovative menu, Tillie’s lives the American Nouveau concept. The restaurant’s building, a repurposed town hall from the Ninh Binh region of Vietnam, is the physical embodiment of an experience that takes inspiration from history and cultures.

The atmosphere was fantastic. The table setting was lovely. My reservation was at 11:00, so I was expecting the tea service to begin by 11:20, and food starting at 11:30. We were not served tea until 11:40 and our food wasn’t at the table until 12:20. This caused us to run later than expected. The food was really good, and ultimately worth the wait…much more than tea sandwiches…really good beef wellington bites, great seafood salad sandwich bites, wonderful desserts too. The wait and the timing was the only thing that was a disappointing.

The problem started with the seating. I requested indoor seating and was given an outdoor table. I don't know if this is an Open Table error or if Tilie's just doesn't honor those requests. The Flies outside were horrible. It's late spring in Central Texas so bugs are expected, but there were swarms. Also the outdoor table, which we did not want, is pool side. Dining is not high end when there are guests in their swimsuits walking around the pool. There are things that I do not want to see while eating. Overall the food is good, but the experience is about the indoor space, and the atmosphere of the building. We did not get that experience, and we were greatly disappointed on this, our third visit. Mother's Day was definitely a disappointment.

IF I COULD LEAVE A LESS THAN 1 STAR REVIEW, I WOULD! We made a reservation for the prix fixe menu on Mother's Day ($85/pp). I'd been wanting to try Tillie's for a while, and I was willing to pay for a special meal on a special day. My party of 3 arrived on time and we were seated within 5 minutes of arriving for the 12:30 reservation. Things quickly went wrong. We sat down to find one of the chairs was soaking wet. It was not just a little damp, pants were soaked! In hindsight, I wish we had left then to get dry pants and a burger - it would have been more satisfying. I let someone know of the problem, they apologized and brought us an extra napkin to sit on but it did no good. We sat with wet pants and ordered drinks which came out 15 minutes later. The 1st course of family style salad with roasted veggies arrive about 30 minutes in. The salad was exactly as big as a SINGLE SERVING SIDE SALAD at any other restaurant and the roasted veggies were cold. We each got 3 bites of lettuce and 1 1/2 bites of cold cauliflower. I'm fine with bougie tiny serving sizes when it's done right. This was not right. Then we waited. And we waited. And we waited. And we waited some more. Our waitress seemed to be completely missing in action. My husband and I both inquired about our food with different servers to no avail. The manager finally came to our table. He proceeded to stand with his mouth hanging open when we explained how long we had been waiting and that tables who arrived a FULL HOUR after us had already been served their entrees and they ordered the exact same things we did! The manager didn't apologize and he didn't offer to make anything right, he just stood there. By then it was after 2pm, we were starving, so we gave up and left - having only been served 1 course of the 4. Tillies: Don't take reservations if you can't honor them. Retrain your servers. Don't spread their tables to monitor across the whole restaurant. Hire a REAL manager.

We were seated outside at a table with lots of food from lunch service left on the floor underneath and around the table which attracted many flies. Moving to a new table was an ordeal for the server and she treated us rudely until we spoke to a manager. Second time we had that server. She needs more training. Bad experience with her both times and at this high price point her attitude is not acceptable.

We love Tillies. The ambience and history of the building is remarkable. Our service during our very first visit, was stellar. So we decided to go there again to celebrate anniversary 45 years. The waitress was nice but not experienced and forgot to bring items to the table. The previous waiter we had was top notch a true professional. The reason you pay extra to go to a restaurant of that caliber. There were also fly's we had to fight off our food. Again, something you would not expect from Tillies. We will be back. Hopefully it will be a better experience.

Tillies is a gorgeous location but unfortunately our tea time service was sub-par. Our waitress was aloof and kept disappearing for long stretches of time. We sat with our tea for 30-40 minutes before we had to ask for our tiered food to go with the tea service. By the time we received it, everything was cold— the beef Wellington was chewy and blah. The rest of the pastries were pretty good. When it was time to check out I had to ask another server to run our card and even then we waited another 15-20 minutes for our original server to return. The special tea service was meant to be a treat for my mom for Mother’s Day. Unfortunately it wasn’t as pleasant of an experience as we had hoped. I still overall enjoy Tillies but will probably not be returning for tea time in the future

Such a special place for a one of a kind dinner. The food was specular, the cocktails felt elevated, the waitstaff was so attentive and personable, the ambiance was so elegant. I was also so impressed with how they treated my boyfriend for his birthday. He was given a hand written note at the front desk welcoming him and thanking him for choosing Tillie's for his bday dinner. Truely a one of a kind experience for a bday celebration.

Not our first time. We like very much that we keep coming back. However, this time it was our first brunch there. Menu is ok. We ordered hamburgers and chilaquiles. Hamburgers weren’t done the way we requested. But, we ate them and not complained. We didn’t have time to wait longer. One of those days. Who hasn’t it ;)

I had high hopes for Tillie's. Firstly, the servers and server assistants were very pleasant, friendly, and professional. I ordered the Classic Breakfast with eggs over-medium. I was really looking forward to having a slightly oozy egg to build my own bite with the sourdough toast. My meal arrived and the eggs were over-hard -- no oozing yolk. I was disappointed and waited several minutes to get our servers attention. Another server noticed I wasn't eating and asked if I needed anything, and told her I was waiting for my server to request new eggs. Within a few minutes, my server came over and said she put in an order for new eggs for me. About 20 minutes later, she checked on us again and was very surprised my eggs never came out. She was very clearly disappointed. She promptly brought me new eggs (which were extremely over-easy. it's fine.. we're moving on), but at this point, I had eaten both strips of bacon, half the sourdough toast and more than half of my potatoes. I was kind of over the meal at this point. Overall, I was disappointed. Our server was very apologetic and said she did not charge us for the eggs. My fiancé and I have both worked in service, we know it's not her fault and that things happen. Waitstaff service: 9.5/10 Correctness of Order, and Timeliness in Corrective Action: 2/10 I would maybe try this place again for dinner service, but I don't think I'll be back for Sunday brunch.

We went for a Sunday brunch and it was a little underwhelming. Our server didn’t tell us about the special (waffles) and we heard another server tell the table next to us as we were paying. That was a bummer. The cinnamon roll was a little boring, and dry. The eggs were bright organic holes and delicious. The sausage and bacon were good, but the potatoes had no flavor. We prefer this spot for dinner for sure.

We enjoyed our wonderful experience at Tillie's. We started with the sourdough bread, then shared a delicious Tomahawk steak for two with the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. The place was stunning, quiet, and the staff were fantastic. It made for a really special night out.

We had reservations arrived early but yet waited 15 min after reservation til to be seated. We were there for afternoon tea. Tea came out fine (tea with no flavor) and then the food took an hour to come out. There were at the peak of our visit 7 tables and 4 waitstaff so not sure it was a lack of staff. We were told 30 min into the wait time we were going to receive complimentary bread and dip. The bread and dip arrived 20 min after the tea time food was already on the table. The food had flavor but the wait time killed the experience.

Food and service were great! We especially enjoyed the short rib and the smoked beets with burrata. Drinks were great too.

Slow service. I don’t mind it for fine dining, but we stayed at the resort and poached eggs for 2 shouldn’t take 1 1/2 hours. They didn’t come to our table at all the first 1/2 hour.

Beautiful surroundings…. Delicious food. Table service was lacking. There should have been a tea spoon, serving spoon for the three tiered tray jam or serving tongs for the other items. Super excited to come again.

Slight mix up with reservations. I thought I had clicked on the Tea service but apparently I didn't. Server mentioned that this happens quite often, people thinking they reserved tea service but they are reserving lunch. I would have thought that they would fix this issue and make it clearer on website . Had to order lunch instead and it ended up being delightful.

We expected great things from Tillie’s, but our visit recently fell flat. The food here is excellent, but the service was horrible. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation and the hostess said she couldn’t seat us until the reservation time, this made no sense since the restaurant was practically empty. Our server was working double duty as the bartender, at this type of place I’d expect them to have dedicated servers. During our meal our server was inattentive and would disappear extended periods of time, she was mostly making drinks at the bar. Other tables seemed to have dedicated servers who were more attentive. The food we ordered was great, but some of the plating choices seemed off. Some things were served in bowls making it a little harder to enjoy when plates would have been a better choice. At the end of our meal our server took forever to take our payment since she disappeared again, we tried getting her attention at the bar but she seemed to be in her own little world. At this price point we expected great service, but that was not what we got. It was bad, we’ve gotten better service at simple chain restaurants. We live nearby, but it seems like this place may cater to the guests of their property more since they don’t really have any other eating options when staying there. It would be hard to justify returning given the service we got at the high price we paid.

The tea experience was amazing and the ambiance is beautiful. Our waiter was so very kind and gracious. If we lived here we’d frequent this place. I highly recommend!

Beautiful restaurant with great food! We loved the grilled prawns appetizer, the pork chop and the agnolotti for our entrees. Service was slow, but outside of that it was a great experience!

Nice surprise of an evening in a beautiful setting with very attentive waiters. Menu is limited but everything we tried was cooked very well and quantities were great.

The ambiance and decor are really beautiful. The food was just ok, we weren’t blown away by our small plates or entrees. For reference we had the sourdough app and roasted vegetable caesar salad, gnocchi and agnolotti. The services was friendly friendly and attentive. No complaints just not sure we would make it a priority to go back.

We actually left and went to another restaurant that could take a last minute booking. The prices were eye watering expensive for what they were offering. For example, $55 for halibut, $48 for a pork chop, $120 for a rib eye..not wagu btw. $28 for 2 yes 2 scallops. AND we waited 40 minutes for them to bring some bread. Bread! Honestly it just felt ridiculous and I'm glad we left as our other dining experience was far superior.

I had breakfast at Tillie’s recently and it was great. The chef even made my favorite Brussels sprouts dish even though it is not on the breakfast menu. Our server Grace was sweet, attentive & professional. My lavender latte was delicious as was the cinnamon roll. My friend really enjoyed her yogurt, fruit & granola. The bacon, egg & potatoes dish was very generous & could be shared. Topped it all off with a glass of bubbly! Great experience!
