                                                                      First time trying any type of pan roast. I had it with only chicken and sausage. Surprisingly, it was pretty good. However, they could add a 2nd scoop of rice for the price. Overall... food was good, service was great and didn't mind the restaurant location.

                                                                      One of a handful of reasonably priced seafood restaurants in the Vegas area. My husband and I live locally and went on Saturday for a date night. Restaurant is on the casino floor but fairly spacious. The decor is modern and pleasant. Service was attentive and quick. We ordered caesar salads, peel & eat shrimp, shrimp gumbo, and shrimp & lobster fra diavlo. The caesar salads were excellent. Peel & eat shrimp tasted good and were easy to peel. They came out very hot (temperature) in a cajun broth, but no dipping sauce, so if you want sauce, ask when you order. The gumbo was well prepared, in a thick brown broth with rice on the side. I ordered medium spice level, which for me tasted more like mild. The fra diavlo had a nice flavor, with decent quality seafood. My husband ordered it spicy but it tasted more like medium.

                                                                      Tides Oyster bar has undergone some unfortunate changes. Gone are several items we’ve always enjoyed. The calamari appetizer is gone. There are no fish meals on the menu. They’ve noticeably cut back on the wait staff. There were long periods where we had no contact with our waiter. It wasn’t his fault we counted 6 tables he was serving. Two had 6 people seated. Kudos for the addition of the Alaskan chowder to the menu and the raw oysters were very large and flavorful.

                                                                      we really enjoyed Tides. it has changed a lot over the years. We had the pan roast!! We have never had this dish before and we both loved it !! My husband had the shrimp pan roast and it was loaded with shrimp !! I had the lobster and it was delicious. We both thought mine was better. Both came out steaming hot. we will be back !!! Yumm.
