Tick Tock Diner, an iconic symbol of the American diner with locations in both Midtown Manhattan and Clifton, New Jersey, has mastered the art of casual dining, providing customers with high quality ingredients, generous portions at a reasonable price and a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere that keeps them coming back year after year.
The 280 seat Midtown Manhattan location opened in 1997 at 481 8th Avenue (corner of 34th Street), across the street from Penn Station. Tick Tock Diner has long been known for its American comfort food. Today, it remains true to tradition while offering more dining choices than ever before on its extensive menu, accented with Italian, Greek and Tex-Mex influences. Keeping in the diner tradition, breakfast is served all day, featuring more than a dozen omelets, farm fresh eggs any style, pancakes, Belgian waffles and French toast.

Tick Tock Diner is located 1 block from PennStation. Quick to get to. 11am Brunch menu was varied and service was fast. Plenty of time to walk/stroll to Times Square for a 2pm show. We returned for coffee and dessert before the 8pm train. Staff/Manager excellent people.

This is a classic diner. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a grilled cheese cooked to perfection. Coffee is in metal cups. And the service staff is experienced, busy, and attentive.

Our server was overwhelmed with the amount of tables she had in her section. She had a hard time keeping up with drink orders and getting with each table in a timely fashion. I don’t feel that her level of service was her fault just another example of staffing issues. Food was good, location was good too.

i have been to this diner several times i just love their california wraps or sandwiches good food it gets crowded but its touristy

Our server was pleasant and easy going. She came back several times to check on us to see if we needed anything. My son and I had the Mozz sticks and we each had the Philly cheese steak sandwich that came with delicious fries. Our food was great and the portions were very generous. It was the perfect meal before we headed out to watch the NY Rangers beat the Florida Panthers. This is a must place toeat before any MGS event.

Pretty awesome! VERY friendly, accommodating service, Food outstanding, location optimal. Coffee is GREAT. The city ambience can't be beat. Will be my go-to in this neck of the woods forevermore.
