Unfortunately I had the recommended signature dish. The chicken had a taste that was not fresh. After a couple of bites, I decided the dish was made with chicken that was old. My husband also tasted and said there was something not right with the meat. After making the staff aware of the issue, their attitude was one of total disregard and disrespect. We paid for our full meal and left our normal 25% gratuity. The best part of this experience is knowing that we will never grace the doors of this restaurant again and have the ability to tell others.

We had a great family dinner at Tia Carmen. The menu offered several interesting options so we ordered and shared a number of items, all of which were outstanding. The white wine recommendation was fantastic and it was from Austria which was quite surprising. Ambiance and setting were just what we were looking for while staying at the resort. A wonderful dining experience overall!

It was an interesting experience. The service was bad, the staff was rude, and the food was mid. As a person celebrating a special event, I would highly suggest not celebrating at this restaurant due to the staff and management being rude and unaccommodating. The restaurant itself is a gorgeous spot, with a lovely ambiance, however the staff make it not worth it to visit. It might be more suitable to grab a drink and enjoy the fire pit, but I highly recommend avoiding it for meaningful celebration. I have celiac, which was listed on my reservation for my birthday and they brought me out a non-gluten free dessert. And then refused to provide a different option to suit my needs as I cannot have gluten. Overall, 1/10. When using the restroom, another guest was frustrated having a break from her children that have not been fed for 2 hours due to lack of staff care.

Very thoughtfully curated menu and space! The only disappointment was that we reserved and outdoor spot to see the sunset, but the restaurant does not face the sunset.

Our waiter was great. She took time to explain the menu (which was a bit confusing!) and provided great service. Courses arrived too quickly. We had hardly started eating a few appetizers we ordered, and within minutes our main course had arrived. It was not busy at all. We sat outside, and there was only one other table seated. Overall, just okay. Will not return.

This was our 5th visit to Tia Carmen, and it never disappoints. We’ve brought several friends, but tonight was just the two of enjoying a lovely evening on the patio.
