Crafted out of sheer Westside flair and a nineteen year trajectory, Thyme Restaurant is a concept reimagined by a couple of couples with an affinity for food, wine and our beautiful Upper Westside neighborhood. I’m not one to write bad reviews but I had to for this one. It was a special birthday for my mother and it was not great. The food wasn’t anything special. Our server I felt had some attitude. I had brought a cake and asked if they could please bring it out at the end and she forgot so I had to remind her at the end so it was no longer a surprise and when she brought the cake out she had no friendly gestures and I got charged for a “cake cutting fee” per person which I didn’t mind, but this server never cut the cake she just left the knife there and left. My first bad experience and I go to restaurants weekly. Oh but the lady as the hostess she’s amazing, So friendly and inviting!

Millie was a great server. The food was good - a bit pricey. First time I have been there since the remodel and new ownership. I will return.

The tenderloin was incredibly tender and cooked as expected. All the food was wonderful, the drinks were wonderful, and the service was also wonderful. Look forward to going again.

Thyme has been remodeled and it’s BEAUTIFUL !! The food, and service, was outstanding. You’ve got to go and enjoy this restaurant….a real treat !!

I made reservations about 2 weeks in advance for VDAY for 2. Times were pretty booked so I reserved a spot for 4:30p. When I made the reservation they were advertising their FULL MENU! It wasn’t until 2 days before VDAY I received a call informing me they would not be offering their full menu but a set, 5 course menu w/ two appetizer, 3 main course, and 2 dessert options and a per person cost of $90 per (when we actually sat down and handed the menu there were prices on the menu). The other 2 courses (if you could call them that) were 2 bite sized… items. One was a melba toast with prosciutto and a whipped something or another. The other was a potato chip w/ a sour cream/chive dollop. The other mystery course was a lemon sorbet pallet cleanser(I think it may have contained a lemon flavored alcohol) served in a spoon. First off, I definitely would not call those courses. Our 5 course meal was really 3, maybe 3.5 with another “nothing to see here” that are always included in fine dining and not considered “courses”. Second, IF they did serve alcohol in that pallet cleanser they absolutely should have informed their guests! IF I AM WRONG, then I apologize and made a mistake. Lastly, why put prices on the menu if you have a per person price? Overall the food was good but nothing better than what I’ve had elsewhere. We were sat at a 2 top directly next to the hostess stand. I didn’t make a big deal because I wanted to enjoy a nice meal/evening w/ my wife. Atmosphere was nice, but I’ve seen nicer. Service was nothing special. It was on par with any restaurant and wouldn’t consider it “fine dining service” which in all honesty, requires more than your average “wait staff” training. The waiter constantly reached across our plates for example. My bill was $300 (gratuity included) and they actually charged us extra for items on the menu they considered “add ons”. They used selective charges to jack up the bill while advertising a set, per person cost. Not worth it!

Been a long time since we’ve been here. Food was great. Impressive wine list but a little on the pricey side. Great Old World selection. Definitely worth a visit. We will back
