Discover this beautiful hidden gem in the Cambridgeshire countryside. The Willow Tree is a charming, unique and independent pub restaurant for all seasons with many beautiful spaces to enjoy. The charming restaurant offers a beautiful ambience, featuring an open fire, candle lit tables, and floral displays. In the gorgeous Willow garden you will discover eight magical fairy lit dining domes with Dyson heaters for a dining experience with a difference (Domes can only be booked direct online at www.thewillowtreebourn.com).
A large Teepee is situated in our Secret Meadow, also available to book all year round for private hire events, Serving a delectable dining menu with seasonal updates. Sundays Roasts served on Sundays. 'Little Willow' children's menu available. All dishes created rom scratch from high quality fresh ingredients that are as lovely, kind and as local as can be. Many gluten free options, always features dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options too. Dog friendly too.

Food okay,from instagram videos you would expect wow, but it wasn’t. Staff really lovely, but needs training. Place was nice some time ago, needs cleaning. Our wooden table was sticky. Decorations- pink plastic flowers - dusty and faded. Outside looked messy and untidy. We wanted a special meal, but it wasn’t. The ambiance was lovely some time ago. We won’t be back I’m afraid.

Great food, if a little pricey and a little slow services and not the most helpful but a great experience overall. Lovely garden with domes which we didn’t try but will definitely come back again. Quite dog friendly too.

In summary, food was nice but service let it down. Staff were very nice but seemed to disappear and we waited ages for everything. Drinks had to be chased up, ordered wine specifically to accompany main course and had half finished dinner before it arrived (after chasing it again), left sitting for ages before dessert was offered and then waited again before being served dessert. Restaurant was empty so not sure why this was (staff are very young, maybe inexperienced?) Also had pate and soup to start and these didn’t arrive with any bread - which seemed strange. Again, no one arrived to check on us so we just ate them without! Very expensive meal which left us feeling ripped off despite the food being tasty.

Started off well with being offered to sit outside in the garden which was beautiful, music (which was a bit loud) playing and lovely ambience. Mains arrived *fish and chips in slightly soggy batter. Then asked about desserts which we said yes to, and after the order taken, we were then totally forgotten about. We asked to move inside as chilly and told to sit where we liked. Once inside, despite the owner seeing us and walking past us she never came back to check we got desserts. We waited about 20 mins before we were brought the tiniest Panna cotta for £9 and 3 scoops of ice cream (the mint choc was grainy and not v nice). It seemed they totally lost interest in us. For the price, the food is not value for money even though very nicely presented. Also, provide consistent service.

There was a wedding so I think the booking for afternoon tea probably shouldn’t have been taken. We had to wait for ages for our afternoon tea and we only received one knife for savoury and scones and no spoon for crumble. We did not have regular visits to our table which I had experienced previously and on leaving we were charged for the afternoon tea and extra for the tea/coffee which was deducted when queried.

Stumbled upon this total gem of a place when looking for somewhere to eat whilst at a conference in the area. Attention to detail is what they do right. From the decor inside to the food on the plate you could tell a lot of time and effort had gone into creating an experience the customer would not forget. The atmosphere was what I expected for a mid week booking, chilled, but I’m guessing it is very popular at the weekends…or it should be! Menu - couldn’t fault my food, any adaptation were made without any drama or fuss. The raspberry sorbet was I think the best I’ve ever had. Drinks menu - full of choice from craft beers to cocktails. If you are local to the area or you are passing through I can’t recommend highly enough to book a table here. I’m just gutted I live 2hrs away otherwise I’d become a regular!
