Live Jazz at the Whitby Bar is returning every Friday night from 6pm to 9pm. Enjoy classic Negroni cocktails as you listen to live jazz music from The Sam Taylor Trio.

For our Afternoon Tea service, please book via Open Table through the EXPERIENCE option. To confirm your afternoon tea reservation, we require a credit card for our cancellation policy. Should you cancel within 24 hours of the booking, a $50/pp cancellation fee will incur.

The Whitby Bar and Restaurant, inside The Whitby Hotel located in the heart of upper Midtown, offers modern American food in a uniquely eclectic setting. Open daily for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.

Join us at The Whitby Bar for a delicious Afternoon Tea served in the colorful restaurant or the elegant Orangery. Served on Kit Kemp's beautiful Sailor's Farewell Wedgwood china, enjoy delectable finger sandwiches, including smoked salmon mousse, Egg salad & Truffles, selection of mouthwatering cakes and homemade scones with clotted cream and preserves. $75 per person or $95 including a glass of Joseph Perrier. Afternoon Tea service reservations are booked through the experience. We ask you to cancel your reservation by 10pm the day prior. We have a 5 minute grace period in case you are running late. Please call 646-928-4207 If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. Special requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.

Lovely atmosphere and good service. We came for afternoon tea and the food was average. Expected a bit more for the cost but still had a lovely time.

Gracious hostess willingly seated me early. Nice bartender made a perfect cape codder will I waited for my table. Afternoon tea was delicious and service prompt and professional.

Lovely relaxing breakfast. Food is delicious. Crispy turkey bacon. Hash brown wedge presentation was unique and cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. Food came out quickly yet a little bit of a wait to order. Nice ambiance. Eclectic decor. Definitely a nice start to the day.

Great food, delightful service, little noise. All in all just charming. The Bar is much louder as u would expect.

This was a fabulous dining experience. The waitstaff was most gracious and the setting very beautiful. I appreciated the gluten friendly choices and they were absolutely delicious. I asked if Gluten free bread was available and was happy to learn that it was - so I enjoyed the avocado toast, and could not resist trying the gluten free chocolate cheesecake. I am sure to return here.

I went for the afternoon tea, and it was amazing. There was an issue with my reservation, and they were able to accommodate me and my party. Everyone was nice and accommodating.

Just was not worth it. Took my wife for Spring Afternoon Tea and the tea wasn't even included. Service was sub par and unfriendly. The experience was not worth the price
