The Watermans Richmond is an all day Restaurant and Bar in the centre of town, conveniently located on an ancient cobbled street that leads down to the waterfront.

Our food is the best of British ingredients, served with a nod to southern Europe, with favourite dishes ranging from scallop ravioli to fregola, veal chops and day boat fish. We also have vegetarian and vegan options as well as delicious puddings including tiramisu, poached pears and profiteroles.

We have been the site of a Public house for centuries and still offer a selection of draught beers however we have an extensive wine list focusing mostly on classic wines from Europe.

The Restaurant is divided into several areas: luxurious deep leather banquette seating, bar counters perfect for lunches and more casual dining and cosy fireside dining in our upstairs room.

We also have two outside areas, a perfect spot for a drink or bite whilst watching the world go by.

We have three private areas that can seat up to 18 in each, or more for standing events. One is upstairs and can be used for meetings and dinners, has a fireplace and is very cosy. The second is downstairs and is our garden room, perfect for canape or drinks parties. The third is our outside dining area, set to the side of the premises and can be used for lunches, dinners, and again canape and drinks parties. We are located 100 yards from the main bus station in Richmond. The District Line terminates at Richmond station and there are many overground options from Twickenham and Clapham to name but a few. On Twickenham rugby days many ticket holders elect to have lunch in Richmond and walk to the game as it takes only 20 minutes.

Pleasant atmosphere, delightful, helpful staff, interesting menu, reasonable food prices. The wine list has some interesting wines at fair prices. The cooking was excelant - in particular the Ceviche & the Scallop Tortellini entrées. The lamb rump was tender, full of flavour and came with a delicious reduction and the Dover Sole was perfectly cooked. Altogether a fine meal in very pleasant surroundings

Absolutely amazing as always, this is our favourite restaurant in Richmond. The food, team and service is outstanding. Dont go anywhere else until you have tried the Watermans.

We have eaten at Watermans Richmond on several occasions recently since, like its sister brasserie, The Britannia, it is particularly convenient for the Curzon cinema and the Theatre, so we book early evening. The food is always excellent, likewise the wine list, and the service polite and swift. Our only reservation about the ambience is that, on the last three occasions of our visit, the background music is a little obtrusive: lots of Swing era stuff, Bing Crosby, Sinatra etc. unignorable! It wouldn’t stop us going again, though.

Very nice place. Owners have taken a lot of care. White table cloths and lovely little outdoor area too. Very friendly service. Will definitely be going back.

An enjoyable evening in a cosy setting with friendly and professional service, lovely meal and a good atmosphere. Have always been lucky that whenever we come here, we've had a positive experience.

They’re doing everything right at The Watermans. The atmosphere and ambiance is perfect, the menu for food and drink is carefully thought out and offers excellent choices. The cooking is great. All of the Front of House team were so thoroughly thoughtful and welcoming. A truly charming place to go.
