second time we've been and it was just as good as the first. really nice food with the exception of the sweetbreads that came with the lamb once I found out what they really were... can't see the need to include these in what was already a lovely dish but again, everything else was great including the service.

Great atmosphere, tasty food but uncomfortable chairs-the wooden dining chairs are nor comfortable to sit on for any length of time.

What a lovely place! The food was delicious, cocktails amazing and all the waiting staff were friendly, pleasant and enthusiastic. Nice setting and ambience too. Highly recommended for a special treat.

The vibe here is absolutely fantastic! One of the best meals we’ve had in an Edinburgh. The venison tartare is out of this world. Will absolutely be back!

The menu has just change , which meant stuff wee both liked wasn't available but food was excellent very gastro gourmet, cocktails also great and so was the friendly service. would definitely go back and recommend to anyone looking for a lovely day out not to expensive especially with the itison voucher.

Amazing location, quiet backstreet just off the centre of the city. Food was if amazing quality, well cooked and presented. Staff incredibly attentive and friendly. Was on a special deal so incredible value for money.

Excellent main dishes, excellent desserts but one stood out above all the others. I chose the cheddar cheese with black bun and honey. WOW! This must be the best and biggest surprize. This was indeed the best dessert I have ever eaten.

Food was very nice, but menu difficult to understand, hard to work out what was starters and what were mains and what you actually got, but enjoyed it very much

The food and service were excellent. It was odd that 1 main course was servrd without potatoes, rice or noodles and potatoes had to be purchased as an extra at £6.00

Took advantage of an ITISON deal to try VofB for the first time. Attractive premises and ambiance. Very pleasant staff. Food was lovely overall with highlights being the salmon fishcake starter and the coley main. Fab value and would visit again.

We were given a voucher as a gift. I'd never been but will definitely be back. Great cocktail list to try; attentive and friendly staff; lovely ambience and good music!

Booked a table for after the Scotland England rugby. Unsurprisingly the bar was really busy but we were sat at our table quickly. Attentive service throughout the evening despite it being busy. Food was excellent. Overall a superb experience.

We have this restaurant a 10 out of 10. From the excellent service to excellent food and atmosphere. We've been to some great restaurants in Edinburgh and this one tops the lot. Quite superb and my wife likes the low lighting which makes for a great atmosphere.

Terrific cocktails and dinner at Voyage of Buck. An extensive and impressive cocktail menu -- the one I eventually settled on was so delicious! Food was excellent, nice portion sizes and quality ingredients. Very efficient and attentive service. Relaxing elegant ambience. Enjoyed thoroughly, will be back soon!
