    Love this restaurant but the waiter was somewhat weak as he didnt know the menu and guessed what they were serving. Kind of surprising as most of their staff is spot on all the time. Other than that, the service was great. Oh, somewhat of an issue...They charge a corkage and then charge tip on the corkage. Tip on a corkage fee? Really?

    Hello Rob, Thank you for your feedback! We put a lot of stress on menu and product knowledge and it seems we still have work to do. This will continue to be a focus for us as we never want to guess or be unsure of what we are serving. You are correct that we do place a service surcharge on all of our checks which encompasses service for the entire experience.     We are regulars at the Village Bakery, it's a friendly restaurant with a friendly menu. This time our waiter was especially good, he explained the dishes to us and answered our questions very thoughtfully. The special that evening (ribs) was delicious. We love sitting at the back patio.

    I had lunch with my friend and nephew. Overall the staff was very accommodating for my nephew and his stroller. The food was very good and the server was very nice and accommodating. It was fairly quiet knowing it was next to a parking lot. I disliked the Amazon delivery truck parked right next to the outdoor seating continually running during our lunch. When I asked for the check, I was taken aback by the response. The server immediately asked "Is that apple pay?". No other type of payment was asked, and when I said no it seemed it was a big inconvenience to "run the card inside". Overall the food was good and the service was kind and efficient.

    We found this place for brunch so we decided to try dinner. It was excellent! Service was great. A they have a good wine list and the food was wonderful. We had a Caesar salad and the scallops to start. The scallops were cooked perfectly. I had the short ribs and my wife had the Coq Au Vin. The short ribs were so tender that you could eat them easily with a fork. The Coq Au Vin was well portioned and delicious. Will definitely be having dinner here again!

    Decent food. Pricey. Attentive wait staff. Off of the beaten track but probably convenient for Woodside locals. Parking was HORRENDOUS. General take is that for the same price and quality of food, you can probably find somewhere that's not in the middle of nowhere, has better parking, and isn't as crowded in the restaurant.

    Hello, Thank you for your honest and thorough review. I hear your feedback on the parking loud and clear. We understand the struggles with parking as it is a daily battle for us. We have done everything we can to ease that stress for our guests, from pushing for and passing a measure through Town Hall to upgrade the parking lot, to employing a third party parking service to help direct our guests to alternate parking areas. Unfortunately, it is in our landlord's hands now. I do hope you will reconsider and visit us again very soon. Best, Joe McCabe General Manager
