My husband and I had dinner here for our anniversary. We booked an early reservation so that we could enjoy the beautiful view of the Monterey Bay. We both ordered a Manhattan and they were excellent. I ordered the beet salad and prime rib and my husband ordered the wedge salad and baby back ribs. Our meals were excellent and the service was impeccable. I would love to try their brunch and/or lunch so we will definitely be back.

Very nice dinner on the beautiful patio. Service was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating for our party of five. Wonderful dining experience!

The View is at Chaminade. Service, maintenance, quality at the entire facility has dropped significantly over the past several years. The View has bad food, but an amazing outdoor eating patio. On holidays, which was this occasion, there is a buffet, which used to be amazing. Now it's not bad for a buffet, but it's not worth the price. I recommend drinks and appetizers on the patio, then go somewhere else for food.

The food was GHASTLY. Booked Mother'sDay Buffet @4pm.There was nothing on site telling us that the buffet CLOSED@5pm. At my arrival-4pm- they were out of OYSTERS, PASTA ENTREE, BACON, among other items. Plus, the raw tuna POKE BOWL & wasabi WARM,..WARM. The ASPARAGUS was OLD! It had the shriveled up,vertile lines running up the stalks. The desserts were Cookies, One Carrot cake, One Lemon Chiffon Cake & Multiple Cheese cakes, NO Chocolate.At 4pm it was primarily a breakfast buffet. All this largess for ONLY $85ea PLUS 18% MADATORY TIP for 1 customer-PLUS a $4.00 charge to "help pay their staff" ( which is SUPPOSED to be VOLUNTARY & removed if asked. They said they could not. all for a grand total of about $127.00. for one person.

Wow, they really over-extended themselves for Mother’s Day brunch. What a disaster. We weren’t seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time, and there was a big coffee and tea display in the waiting area that was out of both coffee and hot water the whole time we were waiting. Once we finally got inside, the buffets were just a mess! They simply weren’t being refreshed often enough. The coffee was all gone in the buffet area as well! Adding insult to injury, there were some beautiful outdoor spaces where they weren’t seating anyone, while guests were crammed into noisy high traffic indoor areas. I was so disappointed since my mom was visiting from out of town and I thought we would be treating her to a nice experience. Nope! The food itself was actually pretty good, but that did not make up for the woefully inadequate staffing and all the problems created by that.

I booked this, thrilled to have a slightly extravagant Mother’s Day with my family! The food was overrated, the beverages were overpriced and inconsistent in quality. The server never brought the beverage I ordered, thankfully he realized before he brought the check.
