Enjoy our tented outdoor dining room located on the Plaza Level of the 555 California St. Building.

The Vault Garden offers an all day menu highlighting American cuisine. The Garden also offers a spacious and comfortable lounge and bar that is available for walk-ins.

We provide a rain resistant, temperature controlled outdoor dining room for all of our guests. Blankets are available upon request should you be chilly.

This is a covered outdoor patio, so the wind tunnels that roar through the tall buildings can be an issue, but The Vault has you covered: literally with blankets and also heat lamps and plastic sheeting tents. The food was deliciously spring: carrot ginger soup and a lovely English pea risotto with pea shoots. Excellent flavors and presentation. But the BEST part of The Vault is their drink selection and the rarity of finding a dark lager on tap! Yea me! This is our second visit and I’m excited to go back and try more yummy selections.

I went here for Easter lunch and the food was pretty good, but not worth it for the price. I paid $279 for appetizers, drinks, lobster rolls, and desserts for two. Crazy!! I won't be going here again, even though the ambience was really nice. My waiter was also very nice, but the food took a long time to arrive. It was good to catch up with my friend in that time, though.

I took my family for Easter Brunch and we had a great experience. Our waiter and the staff were very nice, they allowed us to eat without interruptions and were great at checking in with us to see if we needed nothing else. We all enjoyed our meals and our drinks were delicious. It was my first time there but would definitely come back and recommend for a family meal, date or just by yourself. Thank you to The Vault Garden waiter and staff that took good care of us.

It was a great experience, a wonderful valentines day date with my fiancée , the service wasn’t bad, just a bit slow. Other than that it was amazing.

Lovely setting, slightly chilly due to indoor/outdoor situation and a breeze, but very pleasant. We had an issue with the kitchen (far away from the dining area) forgetting to prep desserts and our having to wait a long time. Otherwise, excellent!

Manager was not super welcoming when we arrived. We had a stroller and totally understand there’s not always space (although we did include that we would have it in the notes and nobody called to say they couldn’t accommodate) and instead of trying to make it work he just kept making it seem like we were inconveniencing him for being there. Seemed almost not baby friendly vibes, but we’ve been here many times with her and never received this treatment. Was definitely disappointed.

We were there for Christmas Eve dinner before Midnight Mass. We have been to The Vault Garden in the past, so we knew not to expect the regular menu, during the Christmas holiday. As such, with the fixed menu, one would expect an easier and smoother operation. Maybe they were short-handed? We were a third way through our meal before we were finally able to flag down someone to inquire about our bottle of wine. By the time he came back to say it was on its way, we were halfway through with our meal. So we canceled the wine order. They provided a half glass of wine on the house, which was appreciated. Nevertheless, it was still a good dining experience and the food was scrumptious. Will be back again.

Beautifully decorated for restaurant for the holidays! Their menu for Christmas Eve was $95/pp which included appetizer, entree and dessert. Overall experience was okay. The dessert choice was only a chocolate option which was unfortunate. For the amount of food you are served, this menu isn’t worth it. When our receipt came we noticed there’s a “service charge” line which is deceiving because it should say “ gratuity”.

The food was ok, very slow service. There was a big group that delayed the food and was very noisy too. The Christmas decorations look more impressive in the pictures

Absolutely loved it, the Christmas pop-up was so cute, amazing cocktails and we had the perfect server (Kaoni). Plus the food was awesome too. Recommend to all!

We arrived around 3:00 pm, hoping to enjoy a good meal and their famous holiday drinks. Unfortunately, we only had a chance to enjoy a drink and a couple of appetizers. Our waiter disappeared and never came back to take our meal order. Needless to say, we waited for maybe 30 minutes. The restaurant was pretty much empty, and no one seemed to be aware we needed some attention. I saw our waiter on his cell phone outside the restaurant. We got another waiter's attention, and we told him we'd been waiting to place our order, but since no one came to ask if we were okay, we lost interest in giving them any business. We asked for the check, which came back fast, so we paid and were shocked at the awful service. Not worth the fuss of Christmas, this place sucks. We went to Wayfare Tavern around the block; the service and food were terrific.

I ordered the braised short rip and it was dry. Their menu said it included non-alcohol drinks which I ordered one but then was told they ran out. It was barely 8pm on Saturday how do you run out? The presentation of the food was not great. My food was brought out in a big white plate which made the food look really small. The presentation was not what I'm used to, I'm so over big large white plates. My husband and I were visiting from San Diego to celebrate our anniversary. They gave us a note that said happy anniversary but that was it. Overall I give this place 3 stars.

Holiday drinks were 50/50 unfortunately, the Christmas decor is super cute, and the staff was very attentive and nice. The food was great, we ordered the smoked salmon with trout roe with sourdough appetizer and some fries.

Beautiful venue, however, our server could benefit from additional training/guidance. Examples: 1. Brought me my hot tea without a saucer to place the tea bag. When I asked for one, she said they were out. Instead of offering an alternative (e.g. small plate), she gave me a paper napkin which the bag soaked through. 2. There were 5 people in our business lunch. Only 1 of us was given the lunch menu. When we asked for additional lunch menus, she said there were none (the restaurant was not full). 3. Rarely stopped by to check on us. The pepper dispenser we were given was empty & I had to get up to look for someone to ask for a replacement because no one had stopped by to check on us for awhile.

WE went for Saturday brunch. The service was very attentive, not overbearing or pushy. The food was amazing. We had the Salmon Benedict, and every element was perfect!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our early dinner here, right across from the Omni Hotel. The service and food were excellent. Get the Parker House rolls!

I loved the ambience and the vibes outdoor. The staff was friendly and the food was in the higher level. I enjoyed this city/brunch vibe.

Always a great experience here. Lovely staff from check-in to bartender. Lunches are brought out quickly and well prepared. I prefer to take my business lunches here.

The Vault Garden was once a bright spot in early pandemic reopening. The quality has since declined quite a bit. It seems they didn't anticipate the crowd on a Friday, there was only 1 waiter. The heat lamps are too close to the tables creates discomfort. The portion of the food has gotten smaller, and meat dishes were all slightly overdone.
