Only issue was the table we were at. There was a big open spot and I scooted my drink and it leaned into the open spot and fell and landed all on my friend and the floor. However, food, service was excellent.

Great atmosphere, good food. But food came out at different times and a lot of it was cold, which kept it from being a 5 star experience. I still would recommend though!!

Paying for parking is ridiculous- one reason we will not be back soon. Food was very good, waitress was super sweet!

Cute restaurant with good food and good service. We were a party of 4 attending a concert at the Schuster Performing Arts Center so we booked the restaurant early 4:30pm to have plenty of time to get to the concert. We are glad that we did because the restaurant filled up early around 5 pm. We received our food in no time at all. We ordered the pretzel with beer cheese as an appetizer and it was really good. I got the Troll Melt and my husband got the chicken fingers and they were both good. Generous portions wee served as well.

First time at the Dayton location, we’ve eaten at the Louisville location before. Fabulous drink choices and our food was amazing! Easy to make a reservation for our party of nine. The table was ready for us. Would definitely recommend and return!

The staff got overwhelmed just before we arrived. The kitchen was coming off a complete beat down and couldn’t recover. We waited over an hour for our food. We weren’t in a hurry so it wasn’t a deal breaker. Food quality when we finally were served was ok. What should’ve been hot was warm or cool. The fish was really greasy and oil was pooling in the plate. The flavor was ok. I look forward to returning with a better experience. Our server saved the night.

Since the troll house is a pub with pub food, we thought it would be a good relatively quick spot to go before a show downtown. We arrived on time for our reservation, two hours before the show started, and gave our orders immediately. We waited an hour and 40 minutes for two burgers that never showed up. At that point, we thanked the waitress who had been very kind and apologetic and comped our two drinks, but never got our food. Won’t be going back.

It took 15 minutes for anyone to even approach our table for drink order. It took almost an hour after that for us to get our food. Burger and a club sandwich....

We had a 7:15 reservation prior to a 9:30 show and our food, and others in the restaurant, never arrived. We left without eating. Overheard manager being confrontational with other guests about the same experience. Don’t come here if you don’t have 2 hours to wait for your dinner to arrive. Looks like a fun place and can’t speak to the quality of the food, but service was lacking.

The visit was on a Monday night with a party of 8. There were probably 25 total people in the place. But the speakers were set as if it was a Friday night and the place was at max capacity. One of my party ordered wings that came out burnt and dripping in enough oil that he could have lubricated his car.

The atmosphere is fun and interesting, our waitress was great, and the drinks were half-price because of happy hour. However, the food was kind of disappointing. It was fine, but it was just okay.

First timers .. wasn’t aware it opened 6 yrs ago! We enjoyed the atmosphere and food and our waitress was terrific … thx we’ll come back for sure

Slowest kitchen I’ve ever seen. The poor servers running around having to apologize to everyone was just sad. Thank goodness we ordered appetizers or we would have been furious and lashed out at our server would was nothing but friendly and as attentive as she could be under the circumstances. I could see the kitchen from where we were sitting and I watched tickets pile up like a banner across the line. In my food experience I’m really curious to way management stood there and watched instead of going back in the kitchen and helping? Food was good and fresh when it finally arrived after a ridiculously long time. Come on, you either need to reorganize how your kitchen handles orders or help them the hell out.

We made a reservation and our table was ready on tine. Our waitress was great. We waited a long time for our food but when it did come out, it was fresh and delicious. The manager gave us all free desserts for our long wait, which we all enjoyed. Overall, we had great experience.

At the bottom of the receipt, it says 18% gratuity added for groups >8 people. (We were a party of 12. Not loud. Not demanding) Ok fine. BUT the waitress automatically added 20% gratuity and didn’t tell us. SHADY!! I would find it hard to believe this was an accident. Meeting with the manager tomorrow to talk about it. I don’t know if this was a truly honest mistake, but my intuition says it wasn’t. Like I said, I will have a Frank discussion tomorrow with the manager. I should also mention that my husband was finished with his meal before I got mine!!! (It was a wrap sandwich and fries!!!). 😠

We have eaten there a few times in the past but on Friday it seemed to be off. I don't believe we got out right beers, The chicken meals seemed to be overcooked, and the service was just ok. We will give it a try again, but not for a while. Plus it also sucks that you have to pay for parking, when you shell out enough money for food.

We arrived at The Troll Pub on a weeknight for my daughter's birthday. We were able to secure a reservation a few days before for the time we wanted for the 8 of us. The pros: Nice and attentive wait staff, reasonable prices, a clean restaurant and a decent, but limited menu. Cons: no free parking and there were a few large parties in the space where we were seated so the noise level was a little louder than I'd expect. Overall, a nice place and I would definitely return!

My burger was amazing, apps were amazing....salad was absolutely wet, just not edible. Server was great and the burger was so good, I wasn't upset but get half dressing on the sale.

Parking is ridiculous, tried to use the pad in the restaurant to pay with no success. Use the app on your phone. Took 10 minutes to get parking paid. In that ten minutes, we got a parking ticket. Took several emails to get the ticket removed. You must end the parking meter when you leave the restaurant, if you don’t you get charged the maximum fee. Air garage oversees the parking and you can only communicate with them via text or email. Not impressed with air garage. The ticket had no time or date information and could not read the writing on the ticket.Food was good, but parking makes the visit bad.

Great post game dinner for a group of out of towners. Plenty of tvs to catch other games and good menu and drink options... wings were great.

Food was mediocre at best. Ordered a fish sandwich on rye bread because I am a bread fan. The bread was so thick and hard you could not taste the fish. Took it apart and had two tiny pieces of fish which was ok. Onion rings were good but cost and extra $2. Hubby had a patty melt on the same bread, about the same result, but he said his fries were good. Server was ok but slow and took forever to get a second drink. (He was visiting with friends) Atmosphere was nice, place seemed clean. We will not go back, eating out is too expensive for mediocre food and service.

Awful experience. Made a reservation the day before and called two times to verify they were open and no reply. We arrived at our reservation time, and saw posted on the gate that they were closed due to being short-staffed. It was extremely unprofessional to receive no communications about this, when a simple text update or phone call would have sufficed. We went to Dublin Pub for lunch and had a very lovely time (and it helped that they were open).

The only reason I gave the service a 4 is because they only had 2 bartenders to run the bar and wait tables. Other than that, the service was great and so was the food. Big portion sizes, if you leave hungry that is your fault!
