Upscale contemporary design meets with charming rustic elements, combined with a bright and inviting dining destination surrounded by ocean views suspended over the cliffs. Seasonal breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus are prepared with farm-fresh local produce, line-caught fish, hand cut meats, and homemade recipes passed down from generation to generation.

Food was very expensive and poor quality. Server was a train wreck. The place was so noisy it was difficult to talk to anyone else. The only redeeming thing was the beautiful view of the ocean. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money on this place. Bad food at exorbitant prices.

Stopped by the Tiller for lunch. Martini was exceptional. Caesar salad was a nice way to start our meal. My burger was tasty and cooked perfectly. Wife’s lobster roll was good; but, she thought it could have been a bit larger based on the price. Anyway, we’ll be returning soon. Love the ambiance of the restaurant.

Very beautiful location right on the cliffs. We were there on a cloudy day and still had a beautiful view of the ocean. Ask for a booth table that faces the windows. Food was excellent and the service was outstanding.

Restaurant service was excellent. Mark, our waiter, was both professional and very friendly. He represented the restaurant well. The food however was disastrous. The Caesar salad was just some pieces of lettuce with nothing on it. It look and tasted like it just came out if a bag. The Lobster roll was good but very small for the price. The other meal was barely edible. We felt like we stayed at a five star hotel with five star service and ate at a Burger King or McDonald’s.

Delightful Sunday brunch yesterday. Enjoyed a window seat with views to die for. Drinks were unique mixtures and awesome. The food as always was 5 star and the service friendly & responsive but not overbearing. A wonderful time.

Booked the reservation 5 months in advance and requested a window seat. Didn’t get a window and was stuck with my back to the window at a table in the middle of the restaurant. Waitress was very nice but never asked if we wanted a second drink and we needed to flag her down when we needed something. Food was good, my short rib was dry but my wife loved her scallops over lobster fried rice. The lobster corn chowder was fantastic and the ambiance is great. Update: the message from the Cliff House to contact their Director of the Tiller restaurant is clearly lip service to appear like they care. I left two messages over a three week period and never received a call back.

When we made the reservation, it asked if there was an occasion. It was our 25th anniversary. I didn’t think anything of it, really. Once we were seated, the waiter came over and welcomed us BY NAME and offered his congratulations on our anniversary. The restaurant has the best view on the planet, and despite being dark outside, the view was still amazing. The food was spectacular. Fresh, tasty, and beautifully plated. The service was impressive. We were also given our dessert as compliments on our anniversary. What a way to make us feel special—we never get out, so this entire trip was a splurge and a super special time for us. Thank you for making it absolutely perfect and worthwhile!! Five stars!

Lovely birthday dinner. The view from our table was beautiful and the waitstaff was attentive and kind. The chef board and bread service were delicious and came out quickly which allowed us to get some food for our 6 year old while we figured out what we wanted for dinner. Everything we ordered was delicious and we will definitely be back

Here’s a restaurant where the food is well prepared and presented but the highlights of the experience are top, top tier service and stunning views of the Atlantic crashing onto the coast of Maine. My wife had curried squash bisque, nicely seasoned and beautifully presented with pepitas and a drizzle of cream atop. She had the lobster roll as an entree. The portion was adequate and the brioche roll was grilled nicely. My meal was a generous 5 tender size large shrimp cocktail. I had the seasonal risotto with a salmon add. The salmon was well prepared, perhaps a bit pricey for the portion, and again nicely presented. But the stars of the show throughout the evening where the staff. Starting with the valet parking cars, the hotel reception staff, who directed us to the restaurant the extraordinarily warm reception at the restaurant and terrific nights service by a fellow named Mark. One example, after we had ordered and been served dessert, I decided to have a double espresso. I mentioned it to Mark he had it on the table in under five minutes. And it was a relatively busy night in the restaurant. Really nice work on his part. Our overall experience was very good and we’re planning to be back soon with friends, probably before the summer crowds arrive.

Our server, Lisa, was great - professional, friendly and attentive. Food was good. Views spectacular. We enjoyed another glass of wine in the lobby after lunch and watched the waves for a bit!

I would have expected much more from this establishment based on the price point and it being at the Cliff House. Food was just fine. Drinks below average, very disappointing. Atmosphere is lovely right on the water but the service was meh. Took a while for someone to come over to us and then felt super rushed after that. Not a big review writer, but felt inclined since I had such high hopes for this place!!

The views were amazing, we were there for an astronomical high tide. The ambience and service was great. The food was lackluster. Both our tuna and steak tasted several days old.

Service was great but food was subpar. Lacked flavor, presentation poor. A $200 dinner and left feeling very unsatisfied! Atmosphere and views were beautiful. Our waitress was amazing but it stopped there. Would not recommend this place for dinner.

Maybe the chef and cooking staff were overwhelmed with orders, maybe servers were understaffed. Food was alittle disappointing; under -cooked Friday dinner, over-cooked eggs Sunday breakfast

Dinner Sat night- 3 orders of waguy burgers medium and all were almost raw. Sunday breakfast - ordered New England eggs Benedict, potatoes were dry and the 2 eggs were not at all runny like a poached egg is suppose to be, almost hard boiled. Service was very slow. Don't mean to be negative but for the prices charged, the food should be much better. Disappointing.

Outstanding experience! The view is absolutely breathtaking. We ate here for both dinner and breakfast. If you're seated by the window for breakfast, they really ought to have some type of shade or awning to help with the intense sun glade. I advise bringing sunglasses. Food was delicious, service was a little bit underwhelming (could be friendlier) but I'll chalk it up to being off-season. The waitress got our breakfast order a little wrong (messed up sides) and tried to argue with us about it, so knocked a star there. But the quality of the food was delicious and the decor, seats, tables, and space were all comfortable, updated and beautiful. Excited to return!

Had a really nice experience dining here for my birthday. Our server was excellent, very kind and attentive. Food was pricey but very good. Ambience obviously wonderful being such a scenic hotel. Would certainly recommend to anyone!

The Foccia bread starter plate was excellent. My vanilla bean crème brûlée was the perfect end to a lovely night out. Beautiful view of the ocean too.

They changed the seasonal menu very recently. The steak was taken off the menu. When I asked the server he said he would check with the chef. Both the chef and waiter came back table side explained they had 2 NY sirloin steaks left and asked me how I wanted it prepared and the sides. He cooked it to perfection and came back to the table after. One of the most tender steaks I e er had; great presentation. Great service.
