The Three Cranes is a beautiful Grade II listed building with classic features in the centre of the charming village of Turvey.

Nestled in the rolling countryside between Bedford, Milton Keynes and Northampton, Turvey is a beautiful, historical village on the river Ouse at the centre of a network of country paths. It has many historical stone buildings and is centred around the ancient manor, Turvey House.

We serve food freshly prepared from high quality ingredients with a focus on local sourcing. Our meat is supplied by PE Burley, the Turvey Butcher, we always provide at least three vegan options and source fresh fish on a daily basis, based on the catches of the day and use these to create daily fish specials. We are a free house and always serve a selection of real ales.

                                                                                                              My husband and I met a friend for lunch. The pub is very welcoming , staff very cheerful and helpful. Good lunchtime menu choice, we had the fish and chips our friend had mushroom sausage all were well presented and good value,service good. It was a Tuesday so not too busy so we were able to chat without any distractions. We live quite a distance away as does our friend so this is about halfway for both so ideal. Have met here before and definitely hope to do so again.

                                                                                                              Lunch at the Three Cranes on a Saturday. Food was generally good but a few things to improve on. Beef croquettes were overdone and meat was tough, crab toasts (one piece of toast) was not fresh and could tell it was frozen crab meat. 4 mains of fish & chips, open prawn sandwhich and a burger, all were good. One portion of chips came with a large hair on which was sent back and replaced (but not refunded). Overall I would go back and maybe try the dinner menu.

                                                                                                              Had a lovely meal for parents 50th anniversary, they met at the pub over 50 years ago and were married in the church next door! They haven’t been back there for a good 40 years. Lovely food, staff we very and helpful and just a lovely eve

                                                                                                              As with our last visit, we were seated immediately and there was a good choice of menu. All 4 of us had starters and mains, 2 had desserts. The quality of all dishes was high & good portions. The fish dishes were exceptional. Waiting staff were excellent, attentive but not intrusive.

                                                                                                              Very nice meal with good friendly service. The sharing charcuterie board was lovely as were the main courses - nice not to have to pay for vegetables separately.
