   Great service, delicious cocktails & food (roasted chicken; Steak Frites, potato medley, parm fries; creme brulee'). Noise level started out as "quiet and came to a moderate level by the time we left to get to our show. Very pleasant atmosphere, although we probably would have preferred to not hear some of the conversation coming from the cooks in the kitchen, given what was being said. Might be important to remind the cooks that guests in the dining room can hear them. . .

   For a luxury hotel, the food was subpar. Nothing special and we went on Mother’s Day! Very disappointing.

   My mom and I have loved past tea services at the Heathman, but haven't gone for many years. I was so happy to bring her and my daughter's for mother's day tea, but was disappointed by the quality of the food. The kid's offerings - pbj, carrot and celery sticks with ranch, and a few baked goods for $35? The adult portion's baked goods were all dry, all vegetarian which was surprising for $65. For a final bill over $300 at a historic PDX location, you just hope for better. The servers however were wonderful from start to finish, and I felt bad that they were the front lines of a very lackluster offering.

   It was my first time at the Tavern and was pleased with the service and food. As more people came in, the noise level went up which made me a little uncomfortable. I would definitely return, but plan to dine at a less busy hour.

   Food was delicious. I had the salmon hash. The serving could have been bigger though.

   Make sure you ask about market price before ordering an item. The waitstaff does not offer. $110 for a steak. Our fault for not asking, although we did google it. Not exactly kid friendly.

   We had reservations and ate in the bar before an event at the concert hall next door. I ate there once before and my impression this time was the same - food is okay but they don't quite nail it. I wouldn't be motivated to eat there except for the convenience when attending an event. The staff was quite harried before the show. We did a prix fixe menu, and returned for dessert after the show. At that point they had one server and one bartender, for a bar that probably had 50-60 guests. The server did great, and I realize surge staffing is really difficult, but it was Saturday night...

   I ordered Crab Bisque. It had a watery broth that tasted fine, but nothing fabulous, and about 4 small pieces of crab. Crab bisque normally has a nice rich creamy broth. This one did not. If you order it, definitely plan it being a very light appetizer, not your dinner.
