Bienvenue au Sunset Restaurant, situé sur une des plus belles promenades de la Zuma Beach de Malibu, en Californie. En arrivant devant ce restaurant pour le moins isolé, vous ne pourrez pas passer à côté du spectacle à couper le souffle qui vous sera offert par l’océan, et sur l’horizon du Pacifique. Situé juste à quelques pas des plus belles vagues, vous pourrez peut-être apercevoir des baleines ! This is our favorite restaurant in Malibu. The food is great, the view is phenomenal and the service is good. Took awhile to get seated with a reservation on Mother’s Day but we enjoyed a drink in the bar lounge area while waiting so all good!

The restaurant was packed due to Mother's Day and even with a reservation, there was a wait. I wanted the North patio but wasn't willing to wait longer than the 20 minutes we were already there. Food was delicious and great view of the ocean. Servers had a hard time keeping up with the crowd.

It's a perennial favorite due to the location. This was the first visit ever where 2 managers visited every table. That was a very nice touch. The problems here are the same as always: the parking is a nightmare, the wait just TO park can be a nightmare, and the space is simply too small for the number of people it holds. For a peaceful place across from the ocean, the atmosphere inside is chaotic. There really isn't much room to expand unless they go vertical, and considering the odd layout (and broken elevator) that's probably not even an option. I would choose to take an Uber in to the side street and avoid a car if at all possible. That will make it much less stressful.

Good food, good vibe but parking situation was hellacious. It was Mother’s Day though. Everyone decided to be at the beach today.

Love coming here! The food and staff are always good. Prices are great especially given the location. Went here yesterday with my family for Mother’s Day and it was. Great experience. The parking attendants are stellar and honestly why we keep coming back. They’re very accommodating, kind to all of their guests despite age and mobility, and keep things moving very quickly without ever having to wait.

Manager was rude. She pulled the server while taking our food order to complain. They don’t answer their phones. Also not to mind you staff was moving and lifting chairs over customers heads. They almost hit my mom with a chair.

We made a reservation ahead of time for early Mother’s Day lunch. The valet parking was excellent. We were seated without much of a wait. The service was good too. The salads were very small for the price although they tasted good. The tortellini was ok but would have liked more. The Parparadelli with Bolonghese was very good with an ample portion.

The views are amazing!!!!!! The food and our server was great the only thing I’ll complain a little about is the girl at the front with a straight face 😐 when asking if she could help me, told her I had a reservation, asked for my name, and ask if outside or inside…..with straight face, never eye contact, no “hi welcome “ nothing. It felt pretty rude…. But everything else was sooo nice. I love the beach !!! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

I like this place, certainly for the amazing sunset view. They also have a great 80's playlist that had me humming the tunes throughout my meal. Food was just just ok, but I didn't expect anything gourmet. Service could use some help as it seemed our waitress was not attentive and wasn't enjoying her job that day. Overall, I would return but only to take in sunset, have a cocktail and app.

I love sitting out on the north patio with my feet in the sand and watching the sun set over the ocean. The Sunset restaurant is one of my most favorite spots in the world. The service is outstanding. The food is awesome, our waiter was very polite and sweet, even though the place was packed!

The food, the view, the staff, even the parking attendant are all excellent. Have dined there 3 times in 2 weeks while we are visiting SOCAL.

The unique location of this restaurant (right across from beach) has a tremendous amount of appeal. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was a true California experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially if a beautiful coastline is attractive to you.

Food was great and servers, but as always Host who does the seating should have more training and learn how to read people. I wanted to eat and try everything on the menu, and then the host suggest a bar seating when the whole restaurant was empty, I didn’t think a business would want to make less money. Instead I forced a seating in the complete empty section and order for 4plus people worth of food while it was just me and my date for dinner. Very easy to cut the friction in the start, these are signs of inconsistency in a business but at least the food and servers got it down awesome, maybe they should be the Host and do the seating and first interaction with diners when they come in and have a reservation for a table for dinner, but to be instead told to have a drink with no food while the restaurant is empty. Servers should speak up and they have to make up for the host horrible first interaction

We went for my birthday dinner this past weekend and had a nice evening overall. I was surprised at how slow it was for a Friday night but the food and service were amazing!

This place is as good as it gets. A near perfect combination of perfectly prepared food, views and service. I remember going to the Sunset for the first time in 2011. It was good back then but something definitely changed a few years back and the place has noticeably better quality of food and service. Especially considering the Covid ERA. Well done!

What a sight for sore eyes! The place was an absolute stunner, and the atmosphere was absolutely spot on. And let me tell you, the wine selection was quite satisfactory, and the food? Oh boy, it definitely lived up to its expectations!

The server in the bar was slow and not good about coming back and checking on us. I actually had to get up and find out where our drinks were and also to find her to order another. Our server for our food was excellent

We LOVE the Sunset restaurant - it’s our ‘go-to’ place in Malibu as residents here. The food and people are always pleasant and the sunset scene is second to none.

My wife and I went to the sunset for Valentine’s Day. The food was amazing and the view was stunning, especially since we were able to be there at the setting of the sun. We were seated relatively near the entrance, so there was a lot of foot traffic right by our table and the noise level got a little high from time to time, but Valentines dinners are a popular thing, so we understood. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant for a romantic dinner with you and yours.

As usual, the food and drink at The Sunset was excellent. The only issue this time was our waitress would sometimes disappear for long periods, of course right when we wanted to add something to our order. But then we'd feel the gentle breeze and gaze out at the Pacific stretching as far as the eye can see and say "oh well, I guess we'll just have to sit here longer!" I really should try to explore more of the menu but the salmon entree and octopus appetizer are so darned good that I ordered them once again.

Beautiful views upstairs! The lobster tacos were the best I've ever had. The only downside is they didn't have milk for my toddler but other than that I 10/10 recommend!
