The Stravaig a contemporary kitchen & cocktail Bar with added function room within the kylestrome hotel. Serving up fresh local Scottish cuisine. In the heart of ayr town centre and private parking. With our cosy bar (the cookie) and restaurant wether it be for food or a cocktail in hand with friends we are here to provide you with top service for any occasion. Beer garden to front and to back for those summer days events. We also have an 80-100 capacity function room with bar for hire.

I was here with some friends for lunch. It was their first time trying, they’d travelled down from Paisley for the day and they have already assured me it won’t be their last. One of my friends was vegan and had the rigatoni and can highly recommend. He said it was great to have a bit more of a variety of choice in a restaurant that’s not exclusively vegan. My other friend had the Stravaig Club Sandwich and thoroughly recommends. They also commented on how brilliant the service was and the overall experience as well as how beautiful they thought the venue was!

What a lovely evening we had! Staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the relaxed atmosphere of the Stravaig. The food was delicious and the portions just the right size to allow for desserts. The Sunday Roast was fantastic, as was the Burger. Wonderful Gluten free options for those who need them as well. Great selection of drinks. The decor is stylish and modern but still feels relaxed. Thank you for delivering such a great experience. We will definitely be back!

We were warmly welcomed by staff as we entered. Staff were attentive but not over powering. Food was excellent. Good portion sizes. Quality. Thank you, we will be back.

Very nice venue, our meals were excellent, however the new lamb dish was very fatty. Service was efficient and reasonably friendly. Decor and overall vibe were good.

Stunning place 🤩found a hair in my coleslaw tho staff didn’t seem too bothered when I told her. We paid & left. My friend later called in as it became v busy and we didn’t want to cause a fuss . A voucher is now being sent to my friend for another visit there . All good 👍🏻
