The origin of The Story Café emerged from the mantra “There is a story in everything”
So in 2018 when we fell upon a 30 year old warehouse, we saw the potential to transform the abandoned space into a warm, hospitable, unique eatery. Through consistent innovation, research and dedication we managed to blend our affinity for coffee, music, food and antique into a ambient mélange of vintage and nostalgia. Today, we proudly present our eatery to newcomers and are considered a staple in the Richmond community!

We loved the dining experience at The Story. Great service and every dish was delicious. You can tell that they take great pride in the quality of their food. The duck breast was totally amazing. We will certainly be back and would recommend for a wonderful dining experience.

Our party of 4 were there last year and we were truly satisfied with the food and service. This recent service was totally disappointing. The food tasted great but somewhat lacking, whether it's the portion or the trimmings that came with it. Service was totally horrible . I can only blame management for it seems he lacks proper training on his role. He was totally not present. In any case I was totally embarrassed for I recommended the place to my companion. I'm certainly not coming back.

Great little spot near the airport with a wide ranging menu from lamb to pasta, steaks and seafood with pizza thrown in too. The lasagna I ate and the lobster gnocchi my wife had were both cooked to perfection. The calamari appetizer was tender and the tomato based sauce delicious. Service was friendly and paced just right.

Food comes fast, very tasty and delicious, upbeat service, servers and waiters, venue is always packed, easy reservation facility on the website, my only beef is the parking.

Amazing value; the food is excellent, the menu has refined offerings such as Duck Confit, Beef Wellignton and Duck breast. Its an unusual combination with the casual decor. We will return

Good value for the cost. Good food - very well prepared and delicious, good ambiance except for a table of ladies who were a bit loud, ice wine was nice and cold, We had dinner here for the first time, we are definitely coming back.
