Great atmosphere. Food was very nice, good portion size, was pretty busy yet the food come out quite quickly. Staff were very friendly. Renovations look amazing. Will definately be back.

Had the Wagyu burger which was lovely but the chicken pasta was a bit bland, could have had more colour and flavour. Garlic bread was great, service was super. For came really quickly. Great option to buy a bottle from the bottle shop.

All six enjoyed their return to the Statesman and being able to sit outside in the shade on a warm day. The location was very quiet, with only one other table ever being occupied. However, two of the meals were totally not what was ordered. One person took one of the surprises, but the other had to wait a very long time for her correct order to arrive. We'll all come back again though.

A party of 13.. burgers were dry.. roast was bland and vegetables very hard. Steaks were gristly. This was our second visit.. the first was outstanding, hence the subsequent booking to celebrate a 85th birthday with family. We were so disappointed.. The staff were great!!

Service was outstanding! Food was delicious Just really loud so we moved to the front bar which was very comfortable. Do wish you sold gluten free beer but wine was a good substitute 10 out of 10 we recommend 👌

Being a Monday lunchtime, the terrace area was very quiet, with more guests arriving at around 1.00 p.m., mainly senior citizens. Food ordering and service was easy and fast. Meals were good. Drink service was also good. Moved into the sports bar after lunch which was also fine.

I have been to the Statesman a couple of time in recent weeks for work functions. The meals always come out on time and are of good quality and freshly prepared/cooked. The venue is often quiet, neatly maintained and fresh looking. Finally, the staff have always been friendly and responsive. Well done to the team. Thank you!

Good pub food and a lot of choices, so many restaurant menus changed for Covid and have never changed back so I really appreciate having a choice. Since the renovations the eating areas are really bright and cheerful. It is a nice touch that the wait staff will approach you when you first enter so you are not checking tables for your name on the reservation.

Food was delicious. Such a great vibe in the restaurant this evening. I had to change our booking several times due to people pulling out and others taking their place. Thank you for making it so easy to manage the booking. Will be back soon.

The food was average as the chips were burnt for some of the meals. Kilpatrick oysters were missing the Worcestershire sauce. The facility itself was very clean.

The Statesman Hotel offered a very reasonable lunch with lots of choices. The service was great and the staff were friendly. It's certainly a venue that we'll be visiting again.

A good venue for a birthday/ family gathering. Lots of choice on menu and the ability to purchase bottled wine from the bottle shop to accompany the meal is a good option.

Steak diane was OK but my wife was put off by her smelly pink snapper fish dish which everyone at the table could smell and commented that they thought the fish was off. My wife didn't complain as we were with friends and it would have upset the evening. If we come back won't be ordering fish.

Four of us dined and we all found the experience quite satisfying. It wasn't very busy, so orders came quickly and they accommodated a slight adjustment to one menu item, even checking just before it was served that they had the variation correct. Staff were attentive and very pleasant.

I’ve been to Policy on a number of previous occasions and the food was good. This time I had the mixed grill. Undercooked, warm and only gravy and chips on the so. I had to order a bowl of vegetables which again was small and pretty boring. No one mentioned the trivia quiz that was being held and was quite noisy. Killed any ambience.

Absolutely delightful!!! Love the refit, the political theme is fabulous. Staff are warm and professional, nothing is too much trouble. A gem!

The refreshed Statesman Hotel is TOTALLY GREAT!!!! Situated in the heart of Curtin the Statesman Hotel a wonderful amenity for the whole Woden Valley - a genuine pub, with pub grub, trivia and sports on the televisions. Tanya the Bar Manager is the most delightful human being and nothing is too much for her in ensuring you and your guests are comfortable and welcomed. I advise people to book, but on the off chance you didn't, Tanya and the team will move tables to get you in. I love it! A great place with fabulous atmosphere!

Great experience Done up nicely, great service and food. Good value too. Love how you can buy your favourite bottle of wine from there bottle shop and take it in to the restaurant for $5 corkage.

Great venue suited our group of five very well. We returned after being regular visitors in the 1990s noted a huge improvement in the venue.

Great Sunday lunch. Service was excellent. Food delivered promptly, drinks very reasonably priced and relaxed atmosphere. Only suggestion would be to increase your gluten free options....currently only two on the whole main menu
