The Sociale Restaurant & Lounge in Hollywood is the perfect place to experience the best of Italian-American cuisine located next to the world-famous Pantages Theater and across from the W Hotel. The staff went above and beyond for us. We were stuck in traffic and had to move our reservation by an hour. Not only did they do that but we had a show to see, so they were able to seat us, feed us and get us out within 25 minutes. We were beyond impressed. Also, they let us store our extra food and the fridge while we saw the show. They went above and beyond and we will definitely be back.

While we were late due to traffic on the 101, they held a table for us. Except, it was on the patio in an area where the heaters were broken. We then sat at a table with no setups for over 10 minutes until someone brought us water. After another 5 minutes someone came to take the drink order. No bread service but eventually, we were moved inside to the back room full of dirty tables. I could see that they were understaffed but the unbussed tables just sat there full of dirty dishes and 1/2 eaten food. The concept is Italian but not really, the spaghetti Bolognese I was served had charred pieces of beef and while taste, it definitely wasn’t homemade as it was very sweet like corn syrup was used. My companion had the hanger steak which was oddly already cut into pieces served with 2 pieces of broccolini and a few potatoes. Definitely not worth $37. Coffee was ordered and took about 20 minutes to deliver only to discover I couldn’t add my own cream and sweetener. My companion ordered a latte and received a cold blended drink. The biggest disappointment was dessert, not only the price but what it turned out to be. A creative use of whipped cream ann nothing more. My cannoli was filled with whipped cream so calling it a cannoli is an insult to actual cannolis. No mascarpone cheese, just whipped cream. 8$ was outrageous seeing what was served. I should have gone down the street and gotten a donut. The server was courteous but obviously overworked. I always tip and left her a decent tip despite the lackluster food and service. All in, $140 and not worth it at all. Skip this restaurant and hopefully something better will be in its place soon.

We made a reservation Friday morning for 8 people for later that night. We only found out as some of my guests arrived 10 mins early to our reservation time that the restaurant was closed for a private event. We received no phone call or anything to tell us that they were closed and it’s pretty lame to tell us that after 8 people made the drive over there. I tried to call to see what the deal was but was forwarded to voicemail each time. All my guests were very irritated and we will definitely not return.

Overall it’s a very good place to eat before seeing a show at the Pantages. My husband and I shared the calamari appetizer and a Caesar salad - both were very good. My husband had pepperoni pizza (which he said was very good) and they offered to hold the left over pizza for him until after the show. (A very nice gesture.) I had the truffle chicken breast. The chicken breast itself was average, but the green beans with mushrooms and truffle cream was one of the best tasting vegetable combinations I’ve ever eaten! Taking a bite of chicken with a bite of green beans was absolutely delicious!

I really, really wanted my experience to be better because the reviews were mixed and I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. + The food was yummy - lobster pie (pizza) and garlic Parmesan chicken wings. The servers were fun, kind, and extremely apologetic. They accepted reservations and our table was ready the moment we walked up. They have a separate dining area in the back that does an amazing job of blocking out the noise from the bar and patio. I park in the same building to go to the Pantages, which makes this an excellent spot for dinner before a show and a five minute walk across the street. - If I heard one more person apologize that the kitchen or the bar was backed up, my eyes were going to roll into the back of my head. They had a large party on the patio - DJ and everything, which inundated the bar. We were almost done with appetizers by the time our cocktails arrived - one arrived before appetizers, two towards the end of appetizers, the fourth we gave up on and canceled. Food came out in bursts even though we ordered all at once. Our friends’ Chicago-style pizza came 20 minutes after our pizza arrived. Sadly, weren’t the only table asking for our food and cocktails. Interestingly, it seemed like it was the tables with more than two people seated. Maybe that’s a thing? Our reservations were at 6pm and despite how slow and frustrating our dining experience, we made it to the Pantages by 7:40pm (after going to the bar to get our check and pay because we hadn’t seen any server in the back dining room for 10+ minutes). Overall, a lovely night out with friends but probably won’t be back to this restaurant.

The service was ok. Asked for 3 different cocktails but they did not have the ingredients to make. They were out of 2 different sodas. All of the entrees (4 of them) came out at different times. We could not eat at the same time, which made the food cold. Got 2 fettuccine Alfredo, steak, and burger. House salad, calamari, and mozzarella sticks. Al three of these were great, but salad came out at and after asking the waiter to bring out. He brought out the burger first, it tasted like a regular cheese burger from a fast food place, over priced. It was not Waygu. The steak was suppose to be 7 ounces, it was only 3. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was great, but only had 3 pieces of chicken that they charged us $12 for. Originally we were given the option of steak, but waiter came back and let us know they don’t offer steak for dinner only for brunch. I paid $250 and the tip was added in, which was not ok. There was only 5 of us. And to be honest I would not have provided as big of a tip they “required”. I’m hoping they were just having an off night.

Excellent dining experience! Our Server Keith was great! All the servers were attentive and friendly, including the manager Jessica. The food was delicious! Slight disappointment with the dessert options selected. Very dry and tasted stale. Steps away from the Pantages. We will definitely return.

Enjoying a quick trip to LA and had dinner here for first time. Service from the time we arrived until we left was exceptional! Our server was one of the best we’ve had - very knowledgeable with just the right amount of attentiveness! We enjoyed all of the food from appetizers to desserts! Everything was delicious!

The food was excellent, both taste and presentation. The service was inconsistent. Our waitress did not offer a free refill of our soda. The waitress seemed distracted. However, the manager and another server were more attentive. They did not have enough cloth napkins for our set ups. I will give it another try due to the food being very good. My adult son enjoyed it very much. My salmon was perfect and the meat lovers deep dish was very good.

Our first visit there with no reservations on a Friday night. We had a great experience. Wait wasn't too long. Menu looked great. Ordered a couple of drinks that came to the table quickly and tasted wonderful! The food, service and atmosphere were also fantastic. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This was a great little find!

The Sociale is my new favorite brunch spot in Hollywood! The staff is always so polite and efficient. The atmosphere is comfortable, and soulful. I always come for the Lox Benedict, but stay for the vibes. 10/10 will always recommend!

Excellent menu here, my partner had the lobster ravioli and it was exceptional. I had the Short Rib’s and it was perfectly seasoned. Our server was the best and super thoughtful and gracious. Looking forward to coming back. I would trust anything that they cook!

An absolute gem on Hollywood Blvd. The food is fantastic and the ambiance only amplifies the experience. The crab cake is phenomenal! And their meat pie (pizza) was amazing!

An absolute sublime experience from top to bottom! Outstanding service right from the jump, followed by a culinary experience that speaks volumes to anyone who can appreciate exquisite cuisine! My girlfriend and I shared the salmon and short ribs…both dishes sent a flavor bomb through our body that would rival some of the top dining establishments in LA, stunning presentation as well. After eating we decided to stick around and try some of their cocktails on their beautiful outdoor patio! Highly recommend!

Went for dinner after a play at pantages. The marinera sauce served with the bread basket was scrumptious. I could’ve licked that clean. Calamari was so delicious. We shared that, but it was so flavorful and light (not greasy), I could’ve eaten that by myself. I had a strawberry lemon drink that was yummy and not too strong. I ordered the soul chicken, which was breaded, fried chicken served on a brioche bun with cole slaw. Yum. Would’ve been better with a little spice, but it was very tasty. Sandwich was served with truffle fries. Usually anything truffle is delicious, but these were kinda blah. We were seated and waited on promptly, with staff checking in frequently to see if we needed anything. Definitely recommend. Bobby’s is that it’s just a few steps from pantages. Make reservations.

The Sociale in LA needs some refining. We arrived before a matinee at the Pantages and it was announced "no coffee and no cinnamon rolls". No cinnamon rolls is a disappointment but not a problem but a brunch with no coffee is bizarre. Instead of a latte we ordered bloody marys that came with no garnish. When we asked for olives, we each got 1 on a toothpick and then they ran out of those as well. The wait staff was great but they are at a disadvantage with the lack of ingredients for the items on the menu.

Very nice menu with lots of choices. 5 of us ordered something we liked very much. Our server was terrific and very accommodating. Desserts looked wonderful although we didn't order any.

FIRST: Our server was great. Great! No issues at all with service. The hostess was a bit condescending, but I'll chalk it up to a Saturday night (although it wasn't that busy and we did have a reservation). SECOND: Food was adequate, at best. Three of us ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwiches. All three of us described it as wet and flavorless (coleslaw turns the bun to mush and the chicken was lacking any flavor at all.) The other had the black pepper pasta which he described as "pasta that tried". Skip the truffle fries, they vaguely taste of truffle (sprayed/sprinkled on flavoring?) and it just doesn't seem worth it. We also ordered appetizers and salads, but they all came out with the meals which was odd. FINALLY: They have only been open a month and are trying to figure it out. We took bets that we don't think it will make it six months. The previous restaurant was a juggernaut that always seemed busy and had an amazing menu. Considering the bulk of their business is the Pantages theater crowd, 6PM on a Saturday should have been packed. It wasn't. I don't want any business to fail. I want them to find their groove and knock it out of the park. At this visit, they did not. One last note: The music in the bathroom area is loud. PAINFULLY loud! My Apple watch gave me a "dangerous noise levels" message. Turning it down to a 7 or 8 might help.

Booked a reservation before a show at the Pantages. Place looked nice and clean, but also completely empty. We walked in and (what I’m assuming) were workers who were doing drink tastings. No one greeted us or acknowledged us when we walked in. Apparently their internet was down and the restaurant was closed due to that, but acted like we were bothering them to be there lol. It would’ve been nice to get a notice that the establishment was closed prior to parking and walking in- at the very least a note on the door ! It worked out for the very best though because we went to L’Antica down the street and it was AMAZING!! Will not be back to this place unfortunately

This was a soft opening, and I think they did a great job. Unfortunately, there was no alcohol available which was fine, but if you were a drink or it would not have been.

I found this place by chance while walking near my apartment. It was the best food I've had in years. The pepperoni was great and the Buffalo wings were perfect just the way I wanted them. I would especially like to thank the service, they were kind and very friendly. 100% recommended this place.

The atmosphere is just great, very beautiful place and cozy. The food is impeccably delicious. I especially liked the work of the waiters. I recommend everyone to visit. I will definitely come here again.

Esta fue una experiencia muy bonita estuve con mi familia celebrando un cumpleaños la manejadora Yesica fui tan amable por ayudarnos y sentarnos rápido los meseros y la comida todo fue excelente espero regresar muy pronto !

Absolutely an amazing experience date night before the Mama Mia show. From the staff art all over the restaurant music & of course the food! Very unique menu! Also have a private back room. Seen the Dallas Mavericks players back there. Hidden gem won’t be for long tell this place blows up! Always have fresh specials pan seared salmon is perfection.

Was hoping it would be a great experience especially because it’s black owned. Every time we ordered a specific cocktail they magically“just ran out.” Mind you it was the third option. Then the server/ “GM” he proclaimed, goes on a schpeel about how we shouldn’t be picky on liquor according to his aunt. So he said we should select the liquor his aunt told him about. So we said ok sure we will try that. Server says, we don’t have it. I was like then why’d you even waste time talking about it. The pizza was the only thing good we ordered. Sadly the grits were on the dry side. Needless to say we will most likely not be making reservations here again.
